I’ve just picked up on it from odd articles in alternative publications, like the one that began this tread. Since it applies to retailers and manufacturers who must now only make and sell approved stoves, no one in the MSM has bothered to inform consumers. It was apparent this was going to happen a few years ago when new EPA-approved stoves began carrying tax credits.

Like Cash For Clunkers, this simply removes any choices when we go to replace or install a wood stove. Incrementalism at its finest.

I think you have a good point.

I found the $125 pool pump was no longer produced. Replaced by a new $390 approved model.

I guess I was sleeping when that happened too.
