“He certainly did not vote to shut the government down.”...ah, how disingenuous - he didn't vote for it, but he certainly willed it and plotted it - and in a day or two when even the mind-numbed American public starts to grasp the monumental arrogance and obstinacy of Reid and Obama, he's going to eat it.....

He’s not going to get blamed for this, for sure. But, I can’t say the same for his buddy Harry Reid, so he’s not going to smell like a rose either.

Carney was a deer in the headlights. The WH press looked on in disbelief.

Carney sure is a cunning linguist, isn't he?

I can’t understand why so many GOP are scared of being blamed for the shutdown. They were supposed to be destroyed by “Sequester,” too. But in the end, “Sequester” turned out to be an absurd joke — hardly to the demise of the GOP. And elephants are supposed to have long memories....?

Because that is an exceedingly complex sentence in the English language, isn't it, Skippy? But I'll go easy on him - this may be the first time his pathetic boss is even close to being held responsible for his actions. This affair is starting to look like it might be a lot of fun.

“It is his responsibility to try to work with Congress in the spirit of compromise,” Mr. Carney said.

This is how he worked with Congress - “I will not negotiate,” “I will not negotiate,” “I will not negotiate.” Tell me again how he’s not responsible.

Perfect record is intact - he still hasn’t accepted responsibility for a damn thing.
