I agree with all. It looks first that the bikers were trying to cause trouble, cutting off the SUV and hitting the brakes. When he got hit, they started the assault. I will say too that it looked to be mostly black bikers at the forefront. When the SUV tried to get away, they packed up and went after him. All I could see was he was trying to save himself and his family...

I am starting to carry high-capacity mags in my car now...

I understand they slow other traffic down on purpose to give their buddies ahead an open road for stunts. I doubt anyone in the NYC metro area has any sympathy for the bikers in any case; they are a menace on already-overcrowded roads here (and race would not be the primary consideration in this race-obsessed part of the country). Motorcycles are more of an open-road thing. We hear them at night on nearby highways, and a cop pointed out a dent in a metal light pole caused by one rider’s helmet (he was DOA).
