While writing my latest book, Killing Jesus, I knew I would catch hell once it hit the marketplace. Your mom was right when she told you never to discuss politics and religion because emotions run so high in those arenas. Especially religion.
Even before Killing Jesus was released, the mail began pouring in. And some of it was very nasty.
Brent in Texas opined: "O'Reilly, you are not someone who has the right to write a book about Jesus."
Eric in South Carolina: "You are helping to deceive people with your ignorance about Jesus."
Al in Louisiana: "Bill, what do you know about Jesus? You are Catholic and they don't know anything about the Bible."
And Raleigh in California really let loose with some disturbing stuff: "Bill, please repent before it is too late. You seem to be angry at God because he put a black man in the White House."
Again, none of those folks had actually read Killing Jesus because it had not been released. The book is pure history; there is no religion in it. The people lashing out at me for daring to address their savior in any capacity are so intense in their beliefs that they have lost all sight of reality.
Now, a sad fact of life in America is that there are some very unstable folks running ......

Is that a yearbook picture from college?
This book should be a lesson to Liam Ó Raghallaigh by being his lowest-selling ever: Never speak lies against the Son of God.
He and shep need to be at cnn or pms-nbc. Not as pithy with his commentary as he believes he is.
I wanted to be nice....
:)
I’m curious...what does his book claim that is incorrect? I have not read it, nor claim to defend his Catholic views.
BOR is a phony Christian. Many, many, times BOR reveals his ignorance of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. So how can he write a book about Him. History not religion? A book about Jesus MINUS religion?
Bill, I don’t have to (and never will) read your book to know you are a fool. Why would I read a book written by a fool? You still have time (no one knows how much) to repent, ask for forgiveness, and accept His free gift.
O’Reilly is a chronic liar.
Sounds like he’s really made some factual errors in the book! I haven’t read it, so can you let me know which are his most inaccurate premises? Thanks in advance.
I have a similar conclusion, I was very disappointed in “no spin zone”.
I can stomach (though disagree with) some of his political commentary, more power to him.
But when he spouts the “official Dogma” on killing Kennedy,
(still unsolved) then I would warn the public.
(besides, the book is narrated for 10-16 year olds.....uurrgh!)
God help us!!!
Bill and Hey soos just 2 buds chillin together. Oreilly’s should try to at least listen to the scripture readings when he goes to mass. A little bit of the Word would go a long way.
I admit , I did not finish “killing Kennedy” it was not history, nor an attempt.
(no references etc) I heard same about “...Lincoln..”
with so many release records on the Kennedy case in last decade, there are questions about LHO involvement.
Now regardless of one’s view, you should allow for “other” possibilities and not narrate as “fact”
(my opinion)
We’re getting pretty tired of you trying to be cute with your cursing. We’d better not have to come clean you after you again.
Anybody here read the actual article.
(It’s Monday, pray for Jim.)
Second question of the day: “IF Bill-O is a Catholic, and Catholics believe that Jesus IS alive, THEN should the Pope excommunicate Bill-O for the title of his book?”
His comments illustrate either a purposeful deception or a lack of knowledge of history. Is he not familiar with the 1920s century anarchist/labor movements? Is he not familiar with the 1960s and the radical movements spawned during this period? The fanatics are in the White house. The Tea Party is just a reassertion of the principles of conservative libertarianism on which this country thrived for the 137 years of its existence without an income tax.

I’ll try to be better, but just like with General Patton, sometimes cursing is the best way to express it.
I do know that here are many HISTORICAL references to Jesus in the historical record. There was certainly a Tiberius and a Pontius Pilot. Herod was real, as there is historical record, outside the bible, for many off Christ's immediate followers.
That being said. To dispute the written traditions of the Catholic Church, and subsequently most Protestant denominations, with unverifiable speculation would be silly if not offensive to believers.
“Before the Income Tax”
IMO, the article is rendered suspect by disparaging remarks vis-à-vis neocons.
