The 32-year-old Californian elementary school teacher and mother-of-two who admitted performing sex acts on a 12-year-old student was sentenced on Friday to six-years in prison with no option for parole.
Malia Brooks, from Southern California, pleaded guilty in June to three counts of committing lewd acts with a child under 14 and faced up to 12-years in prison, but Judge Kevin McGee imposed a sentence half that because of the fact she was experiencing manic episodes at the time.

Same thought I had.
Eh, she got off easy, if this had been a guy he’d be looking at 30 years with no parole. She should get down on her manic depressive knees and thank God for being female.
That might be what started this whole thing to begin with.
For the 12yo, it was probably the best four seconds of his life.
LOL
I forgot about them. Are they still married do you know?

These days? I went to college in the mid to late 70s and what you describe was in full swing, and we certainly did not start it.
I guess if by ‘these days’ you mean close to the last 50 years (if not longer, I really doubt how chaste the bobby soxers were).
Gotta tell you, I have a 12 year old grandson and this turns my stomach.
Perve.
You may have been around people like that in the 70’s, but if you think the immorality was as blatant and pervasive back then as now, I think you’re wrong. In the 70’s people where I was from still considered it morally wrong to live with someone out of wedlock, homosexuality was roundly considered perverted and immoral, and an out of wedlock birth was both rare and strongly condemned. I don’t doubt that there were people back then that slept their way through a lot of partners, but those people weren’t considered admirable like in today’s popular culture. Yeah. There was a time in America when a woman who slept around was still considered a slut. That doesn’t mean there weren’t sluts, but they weren’t the norm.
