I Will Not Comply
American Thinker ^ | September 30, 2013 | Matthew May

Posted on 09/30/2013 4:56:36 AM PDT by NCjim

Like most members of the Congress that passed it and, undoubtedly, the president of the United States who signed it, I have not read the entirety of the ill-named Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Yet there is one aspect concerning that legislation of which I am certain: I will not comply.

I will not comply because I am a free citizen of the United States, not a subject of its government. I consider non-compliance with this monstrosity and the tens of thousands of pages of regulations that are to be enforced by an unelected bureaucracy, and that have left a gigantic carbon footprint on our environment and the United States Constitution, a duty.

Non-compliance is my executive order, and that order reads in part that I do not recognize any government's claim on my action or inaction in the marketplace, nor upon any personal information I am unwilling to divulge.

I will not submit to a cabal who read George Orwell's 1984 not as a terrifying warning, but as an instruction manual. Nor will I submit to the dictates of those who attempt to trample the right of free speech of others in the halls of government who are warning us about the looming tyranny. I refer to those sons of liberty who, as Camus wrote, "are not all legitimate or to be admired. Those who applaud it only when it justifies their privileges and shout nothing but censorship when it threatens them are not on our side."

If (when) the IRS or HHS or any other such entity attempts to extort a tax or fee of any kind for not participating in mandated commerce, they will be met with resistance. I will not pay any such tax or fee.

It will surprise the hell out of me if ANYONE complies with this thing. Liberals certainly are not. You think they’re going to blow $328 a month? ha ha ha! Yeah right.

John Harwood, Washington Post mouthpiece for Obama, said on CNBC this morning that polls show Blacks and Hispanics are in favor of ObamaCare, while White aren’t “because they think they’ll be paying for someone else’s health care.” Fancy that. The Takers love this enormous new freebie, while the Makers know they will be stuck with the “unsustainable” bill.

The whole thing is designed so that you CAN’T comply with it.

Ayn Rand said, “The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

I remember quite a few conservative commentators claiming that the Roberts decision was shrewd and would lead to the collapse of Obamacare. Perverting the language counter to common sense did no such thing. On the contrary, it perpetuates the current trend toward “deconstructing language” and hence, the law itself. Bill Clinton’s difficulty in defining the word “is” was an early progenitor of the Roberts’ Treachery. When language means nothing, any outrage is possible.

In trying to secure his legacy, Traitor Roberts shot it in the butt.

The article is exactly right, the force of Obamacare is the IRS. The IRS is to collect the plenty (read as a tax by the US Supreme Court).

But they probably will not stop there, they may also start an Audit (think Lois Learner style).

The little you quoted is more than enough for me. I’ve been saying the same for a long time: it ain’t Valley Forge, folks.

I’d also like to say that I don’t advocate civil disobedience. I advocate going galt, which is legal. Very inconvenient, radical, but legal. Don’t make the money and you don’t have to pay income tax. Without our financial support the government can do nothing but beg for mercy and a list of our demands.

txrefugee :" The Takers love this enormous new freebie, while the Makers know they will be stuck with the “unsustainable” bill.

And the bill will grow exponentially , as does all things 'government' .
The bill is designed to make us all criminals by non-compliance !!
If not immediately , .. eventually !!

I remember a pilot in a small plane nosedived into an IRS office some years ago.
Kinda makes a person wonder to what extremes the population may go should the IRS actively starts to engage in enforcement.

Eat healthy, exercise a little, learn home remedies and save up. Find a local MD that will take cash for those times you can’t self heal. Go to Thailand, Philippines, or Surgical Center of Oklahoma if something major comes up. To hell with all the politicians.

One day tar and feathers will come back into fashion. The ruling class will never see it coming.

The IRS isn't worried too much if people don't want to comply. They will send you a bill, and if you don't pay it, they will confiscate your savings or wages.

But I am predicting something more extreme. You want to ignore the bill, so the IRS will call up your mortgage company and tell them to send them money and add the money to your mortgage. Or, they will contact one of your credit card companies, and tell them to send the money to the IRS and charge it to your card.

Non-compliance is futile.

Work that one does for one's self is not taxable income.

One is able to be productive without being a tax slave to the gov't.

I buy health insurance because I have always bought health insurance. This mandate doesn’t change my behavior.
