Jason Morgan, a University of Wisconsin-Madison student earning his doctorate there, has told his supervisor he objects to the school’s mandated diversity training for teaching assistants (TAs) because leaders of the first session he attended essentially called him – and the whole class – racist.
What’s more, the next session – on how to support transgender students – is something Morgan said he cannot support, as it runs in direct contradiction to his religious beliefs.
The letter, sent by email Sept. 22, states all new TAs in the university’s history department are required to attend one orientation session, two training sessions, and two diversity sessions. Morgan, in his letter, called the first of the two diversity sessions, held Friday, “an avalanche of insinuations, outright accusations, and suffocating political indoctrination (or, as some of the worksheets revealingly put it, ‘re-education’) entirely unbecoming a university of our stature.”

He is probably not gen X but Millennial one of the 30 and down persons. One individual does not represent a group so read nothing into this but that Jason is fed up with labels and accusations.
So am I. Why have we allowed such a minority of perverted people and special interests so thoroughly screw up life for the majority? Their chip has to be fed and their perversions have to be sanctioned to them. To hell with them all.
In the comments section, there appears to be one leftist, nominally “Nullifidian”, who seems to be suffering from a severe case of Toxoplasmosis in the brain.
That is, a protozoa is in effect controlling his mind, having retrained him to think weird and unnatural thoughts, and to crave self destruction.
He also got in a “proclivity”!
Years ago there was a huge outcry against ‘brainwashing’ being used by Hitler and his thugs to promote Naziism. Other nations used similar euphemisms. The avoiding of such terms was a problem for persons who really wanted to do/use the same methods. Vala, these hucksters found a new term ‘diversity training’. This is nothing more than old fashioned mind control wrapped in an evil intent against personal freedom.
Ah, “Diversity Training”. That’s what we call reeducation camps in America.
Good for him. Unfortunately this is one way colleges assure that only approved group think will survive. Such tactics are one reason the term “peer reviewed” as a sort of scholar’s imprimatur is almost laughable these days as it implies an independent intellectual rigor for published work when such independence as been rendered moot by the realpolitik of the contemporary University.

Since everyone’s sharing their stories, I’ll share mine :)
A few years ago I was a training coach for tech support agents at a virtual call center. Which means that everything we did was done via telecommuting and conference calls. One of the guys in training kept insulting people, playing his TV so loud we could hear it through the phone, making very inappropriate remarks to female staff members, etc, so we fired him. He immediately ran to HR and claimed we only fired him because he was black, so of course HR got the entire training staff together for a lecture on “diversity”.
About 5 minutes into the lecture, I just had to pipe up and say “I have a question: how are we supposed to know what skin color someone has?”
It took a second for it to sink in that, we had never seen each other, we had never seen the people we trained, everyone to us was just a voice on the phone, because everything we did was by teleconference. “Diversity Training” was immediately cancelled, because the trainer couldn’t stop laughing.
Good for him. Past time to seriously push back on all this race BS
And to think I almost attended that school—55 years ago.
It has been 49 years since the Civil Rights Act of 1964. That is 2 to 3 generations. The main group that this was supposed to help has really performed in a stellar manner. We now have the Knock out game, affirmative action, minority set asides, reverse discrimination,section 8 housing, some of the most illiterate members of congress, an Attorney General of the United States that refused to prosecute black on white voter suppression and the beat goes on.
At some point there will be a backlash.
But if you don't care if you get fired you can raise a ruckus in the class that will become office legend.
Burn the college first. Then say you did so because it offended you.
