Well, McScum does have an “inflated” view of himself, so he does like inflated things.

McCain in a nutshell:

He was a member of the "Keating 5" in the 1980s, helping to cause the S&L crisis.

In 1993 he was one of the authors of the report that stated "no compelling evidence that proves that any American remains alive in captivity in Southeast Asia."

He has close ties to the gambling industry.

His signature legislative contribution is "McCain/Feingold", a bill regulating "soft money" contributions, you know, like free trips on Keating's corporate jets. As a side note he doesn't have to worry about things like campaign contributions - His wife is the heiress to the Hensley & Co. fortune. Hensley distributes for Anheuser-Busch and if you drink Bud in AZ, you support McCain's re-election efforts.

He once supported closing Gitmo but shut up about it in the run-up to the 2010 primary.

He coauthored the DREAM act but voted against it in 2010.

He wants the US to get involved in the Syrian mess.

He stabbed conservatives in the back on the cloture vote and went on to bad mouth those who would de-fund Obamacare.

On the other side, he's vocally pro-life, opposed gays in the military and opposed most of the bank bailout legislation in 2009.

I think most conservatives, and even a lot of Republicans, in Arizona would be very happy if he were to take early retirement.

Ha haaaaaa!!!

Woo! The dirt they must have on McCain.

She is kind of a hotty, though.

Not that you should worry about such things, Mrs. McCain.

This is beyond stupid...

Analysts counter claims on number of al Qaeda among Syrian rebels

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/10/analysts-counter-claims-on-number-of-al-qaeda-amon/

Al Qaeda-linked groups operating alongside Syria’s rebels are growing stronger, analysts told Congress..

While Mr. Joscelyn said “al Qaeda does not control the entire rebellion, which is made up of a complex set of actors,” his testimony stood in stark contrast to that provided last week by Secretary of State John F. Kerry, who sought to downplay the role of extremists among Syria’s opposition fighters.

Mr. Kerry had followed the lead of Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, during hearings last week by touting the work of Syria analyst Elizabeth O’Bagy, a researcher at the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War.

Ms. O’Bagy, who has also acknowledged having been paid to work for another group that lobbies in Washington in favor of deeper U.S. engagement in Syria, wrote recently in The Wall Street Journal that “the war in Syria is not being waged entirely or even predominantly by dangerous Islamists and al Qaeda diehards.”

Why not? Contractors that were proven to have committed government fraud in Iraq and Afghanistan; some of their shenanigans cost lives of our troops, not to mention ripping off taxpayers- are still able to contract with the government for millions and millions of dollars...I guess track record means nothing these days.

It’s no fun to pile on. But, McCain couldn’t get a security clearance. Why is he taken seriously?

These almost lied us into a war. For the wrong side. Again.

McCain is neck deep with Georgian gangsters. Hellooooo????

(Are we allowed to mention AIPAC on FR?)

Someday, people will find it hard to believe the way America was stampeded into unpopular foreign policy adventures by sinister forces.

McCain just hired her because he will never ever admit he could have been wrong. He will double down on stupid no matter who gets hurt or killed as a result.

He hates all of us that much.

He always has been a terrible person who has gotten a pass because of his service.

To me, his service excuse ran out many moons ago. I don’t thank this SOB for anything. I would thank him if he got lost!
