The Talk Shows
September 29th, 2013
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.; Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Tim Kaine, D-Va.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Reps. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Chris Van Hollen, D-Md.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Iran's foreign minister, Javad Zarif; former President Bill Clinton.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo.; Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash.
It becomes more apparent each day that Barack Obama does not possess the intellectual capability or emotional maturity to develop a budget for an entire year. In the current leadership vacuum, it is needed that somebody lead this country. It is not coming from Obama.
And if there is a government shutdown, does that mean the Teleprompter Of The United States is turned off and Obama needs to remember what he wanted to say? If nothing else, that would mean shorter speeches.
Y’all should hear the NPS folks!!! We are all evil!!
That’s the only part he could comprehend:o)
Not all Rs are your friends.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas - against cloture, against ObamaCare
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah - against cloture, against ObamaCare
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. - against cloture, against ObamaCare
Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo. - FOR cloture, against ObamaCare
Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho. - wants to oust Boehner as Speaker
Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. - ? says “delay, defund, repeal, replace” but also has allied herself with phony Flake who voted FOR cloture
Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. - RINO Boehner ally
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash. - ? Republican Conference Chair, Boehner ally(?)
Anybody else have more knowledge of Rodgers and Blackburn?
Listening to Kevin McCarthy being interviewed by Chris Wallace, I now realize that the Democrat half of the conversation is Chris Wallace.
Raaaaagh!
Wallace badgering Republican House member over shutting down the government, not funding ObomberCare, what if this, what if that?
Where’s my coffee?

Gregory brings up a poll that goes against the shutdown.
Cruz responds that it is the wording — ask them in plain English and they will poll against Obamacare, etc.
Gregory defends Reid by saying that the Senate has acted.
Cruz responds that Reid has not offered anything except full funding of Obamacare, refuses to even talk about this.
Cruz brings up the delays special interests have received, while the general pubic are still on the hook to start paying into Obama care.
Gregory goes through the litany that elections have determined the issues that got us here. [Sounds like he is on the same page as CJ Roberts — you elected them, live with what they pass.]
Gregory: You spoke for 21 hours and moved no one to your side. [snarky Gregory]
Cruz responds that most of the special interest delays for Obamacare are against the law.

[It is the same ole rhetoric. Gregory is spewing the Dem talkingpoints. Nothing new.]
No no President Sam-I-Am I WILL NOT EAT rotten eggs and ham.
Just said the same thing to my wife...thread will be worth following this particular morning.
The news media is worrying about the stock market and their 401’s.
I am listening to Cruz on Meet the Press. He is pointing out how the unions said Obamacare is hurting millions of workers. The only reason he can’t move the ball forward is career politicians. Not the American people. He points out all the companies cutting hours and jobs due to this law. He said he does not want a govt. shut down and the House will make sure the military gets paid but Harry Reid has to move off his absolutist position. The house has compromised. Cruz said it was unfortunate we had division among Senate Republicans in the Senate last time. The Washington establishment has been exempted from this law but the American people haven’t.

Snarky Dave: It is hard for Dems to get a word in edgewise (opposition to Cruz), because you are getting so much flack from members of your own party.
I now realize that the Democrat half of the conversation is Chris Wallace.
You’ll need a healthy shot of booze in your coffee.
Just got back...Cruz is so overwhelmingly smarter and a better debator...He gets his answers in and Gregory just sits there.
One question after another...he answers calmly and strongly.
CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT.!!!
OMG...this guy is awesome...
gregory-—O for 12.
Cruz—12/0——WINNER!
And anyone watching this saw Cruz as a reasoned, dare I say” compassionate” legislator fighting for his constituency and America.
Side note:
I got my Medicare and You 2014 yesterday.
If I stay with the same Medicare Advantage plan I have now, my total premium (Medicare Part B premium + keeping same Medicare Advantage plan) will increase about 30% over the current.
