Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke out Friday against Congressional Republicans strategy to defund Obamacare, holding that it is not effective.
Were more effective tactically not to use a shutdown of some kind to pursue the anti-Obamacare objective, Romney told CNN. I dont think that will be as effective.
Romneys comments are scheduled to appear on Fridays episode of CNNs The Lead with Jake Tapper.

Both chambers of Congress must pass a continuing resolution, or CR, by Sept. 30 to keep the government from shutting down.
Earlier this week, the Republican-held House passed a CR that would defund the Presidents signature health law, the Affordable Care Act, in an effort to force a vote on defunding Obamacare in the Senate. The strategy has resulted in divisions within the Republican Party, with one faction aggressively pursuing Obamacare defunding through the CR and others decrying the tactic as irresponsible.
On Friday, a version of the continuing resolution was passed in the Senate with the defunding language stripped, essentially putting the onus of a government shutdown back on the House and preventing interference with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
I think theres a better way of getting rid of Obamacare, Romney said. [D]elaying it by at least a year. That was Senator Manchins idea, the Democrats idea.
The other [option] would be potentially working hard to get Republicans elected to the House and Senate and theyd be able to do in a traditional way, Romney said.
And “Republican strategists”(Better known as douche bags) wonder why not enough people went to the polls and voted for Romney..HEY GOP, here’s a clue..now get real close, can you hear me..its simple..ROMNEY IS AN OBAMA CLONE..see was that so hard

So if Mitt was President we’d have the same outcomes...
with even LESS opposition !
All this stuff would have passed much more quietly... in the spirit of “bipartisanship” !
“Republican strategist.” Good one. The GOPe takes the premier issue of the campaign and can’t talk about it because their candidate has no credibility on the issue, and they wonder why they lost.
He also likes a manchin’s plan, naturally a democrat plan would have to be better than a Republican’s.
It seems to have escaped the Magic Underwear Moron that the shutdown was a DEMOCRAT TACTIC.
Although there isn’t much different between D & R anymore, I’ll give him that....
Shutdown effort? Not by Republicans. Perhaps he means Barack Hussein Obama’s ploy to shut down the government. After all if Obama can’t get everything he wants he will burn the place down.
The GOP is quickly becoming just another version of the Democrat Party..the GOP will continue to lose, continue to give us crappy candidate after crappy candidate because they want to get rid of us..they dont want Conservatives in the party, just “moderates” which are basically lefists

yeah... Yeah... YEAH!
That could work! Let’s hold a bake sale, or put on a show! Whaddaya say, kids?! Who’s with me?!!!
EVERY DEMOCRAT facing a tough election wants to delay ObamaCare by at least a year!
Why should Republicans help them?

bump
I don’t remember the joke, but the punch line was “Mitt Romney”, lol.
Another “moderate” is heard from.
Total worthless as usual.
The socialists of ALL stripes are lining up on this one, aren’t they?
Glad I did not vote for him.
This is why Mitt Romney got 9 million fewer votes than John McCain, the previous loser, got. Had Romney had those missing votes, he would have beat Obama handily, but paraphrasing the immortal words of Hillary, “What difference would it make?”
I'm glad I didn't vote for that liberal.
