It was at 11.44am that time stood still at All Saints' Church. The clock on the wall is frozen at the very minute seven-year-old Shyam Emmanuel lost his parents. In that same moment, seven children were sent to their deaths along with 78 adults who had congregated outside the gleaming white walls of Peshawar's main Christian place of worship.

Solution: Move out of that hell hole.
Muslim covering a Muslim.
Better solution, get rid of the Muslim refugees we have been importing with no screening and replace them with Christian refugees from the Middle East and Africa.

As well they should worry, the cockroaches come out of hiding when they infest an area.
Situations like this are not easy (understatement of the year). However they cannot dethrone the Lord or halt the Lord’s insistent purpose of pressing the gospel world wide. If anyone needs the gospel the most it is the people who hate it the most.
It’s hard to say something profound about a situation like this that doesn’t also sound hyper-judgmental to worldly Christians.
But anyhow. There was a reason early Christians let themselves become lion food. It always accompanied a chance to vividly demonstrate their faith, and many of those who watched were sold on a faith that powerful. Cowards needn’t apply; fortunately the genuine spirit of the Lord fills the believer with stunning braveness, and the more of it the worse the situation.
If these folks just want some nice quiet religion, then yes they might as well get out of there. But if they really want to get the heart of the Lord, they’ll dig in but hard.
don’t they know that November is Muslim Appreciation Month? They need to start collecting that jizya now.
This is a Threat Matrix list documenting threats within and without. Anyone wanting on or off please advise.
My husband is reading a book about many, many Muslims in the Mideast who are seeing Jesus in dreams, and being converted. Really amazing stories.
I hate what the Muslims do, but try, when I can stand to, to pray for their conversion to Christ. And you are right, persecution sometimes brings in a huge increase in people coming to the Lord.
This is quintessentially Jesus.
Ephesians 6 has it right. Our true enemies are supernatural, they are literal demons, rebel angels. Human evil gets what power it has, from them. We, as the Lord does, would much rather the humans be saved from these demons than be lost to them. So loving your enemy is simply logical. It’s part of the mission.
But just to be clear, they need to be stopped in their tracks, the evil actions they do must be stopped and our country must be protected. We can pray for their conversion but also must protect the innocent and our fellow Christians.
Of course, countries whose vision has gone haywire can bring the world into mutual destruction “protecting themselves.” I would not be so proud as to exclude the US from the possibility of such folly.
God knows when to deploy grace and when to deploy chastisement. Doing it wrong because we are self centered won’t change God’s plan but will change our role in the plan. I think we’d rather be “angels” than “demons” wouldn’t you.
Don’t OVER protect Christians or they will never learn to fight like God wants them to.
I.e... at least sound them out as to their vision before presuming to step up and rescue them by mowing down those who are waging aggression against them, or charming them with urgent invitations to a country where things are (for the time) easy on Christians. Don’t spoil the fight of the Holy Spirit.
