Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) called into MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell Reports on Friday after the Senate voted for a cloture motion to move forward with a resolution which would fund the government. She lashed out at the tea baggers in Congress who have mounted an effort to defund the Affordable Care Act through the continuing resolution process.
Mitchell began by asking Mikulski why the vote to move forward with a CR was happening on Friday rather than Thursday night.
The reason Ted Cruz stood up and asked for a delay was so that he could have a vote during today where his the tea baggers in his tea party were going to watch, Mikulski said when asked why the cloture vote did not occur last night.
Mikulski added that this effort to defund the ACA makes it more difficult to pursue policies like funding education and infrastructure projects.

Old Barb is a two-bagger.
Not enough sacks. Not enough alcohol.
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants... bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society. Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors. [but hes not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.
Gotta have the right kinda bags.
Everything this creature does is evil so no... can’t think of a single thing.
