Sen. Charles Grassley supports Cruz plan to defund Obamacare, opposes cloture vote

The top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee said Friday that he supports Sen. Ted Cruz’s strategy for defunding Obamacare.

Sen. Charles Grassley, Iowa Republican, said via Twitter that he will vote against a parliamentary procedure, known as “cloture,” that would bring an end to the debate over a House bill that would keep the government running beyond the end of the fiscal year and withhold funding for Obamacare.

Some of these Senators are only scared because the voters are paying attention. Look at the House RINO’s voting for it, hoping it will die in the Senate no doubt.

Now the question is ... is he a real Conservative Republican that supports de-funding Obamacare or does he just believe that the RINOs will prevail so his vote won't make a difference? He is up for re-election and a conservative vote will help him during the election. He can then say ... “ See how conservative I am? I voted to de-fund but the other Senators over ruled me”. I hate politics!

Pat Toomey issued some kind of weaselly statement this morning expressing support for Cruz, so I guess he’ll be jumping on the bandwagon too once it’s apparent that the herd is breaking away from McConnell.

Senator Grassley called those right on the money and he is quitely chiming in again. Senator Roberts is another guy with not a lot of fan-fair that has always been one of the silent good guys.

Toomey’s my senator and I called his office.

What a disappointment that jerk is.

Big time. I worked for his campaign, and donated much time and money for his election and as soon as he gets comfortable in the Senate, he becomes a squish.

He is not as bad as snarlen arlen, but he is not a lot better and his conservative bona fides have shrunk to the size of mouse nuts.

I urinate on pat toomey and when the committee to re-elect this pimp come calling, they will not be happy with my reply.
