LIVE Thread: Senate cloture vote. Guess the number of RINOs that vote to support "Dingy" Harry

Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?

So my prediction is 39 against, 61 for ...and then every senate challenger in 2014 can have an ad against each turncoat saying YOUR vote was the difference.

didn’t pay as much though...

IIRC, Burr announced that he would stand with the House and vote to defund obamacare.
That is the Cornyn, et al, phony claim.
Don’t recall Burr announcing anything on cloture. But if you read between the lines of what he has put out, looks like he’s leaning to vote FOR cloture.

Yeah, after seeing that, it will be nonsensical for Perry to think about running for POTUS again. Does anybody know if Abbott is still standing with Cruz and Lee?

No sure don’t. Won’t work tho. Senator Roberts is an icon here and very supportive of veterans issues. Personally I think he’s a fantastic Senator

What I'd like to see:
You know how after you leave the polling place, they put an "I VOTED" sticker on you. I'd like to see Cruz stand in the well of the Senate, and after every RINO votes for cloture, put a "I VOTED TO SUPPORT HARRY REID" sticker on them.

I have had Lamar Alexander on auto-redial for over 24 hours. Unless people kept the lines jammed all night, his phone is off the hook. LA introduced himself and asked for my vote at the McCain rally in Kingsport. He swore to me he would uphold Consevative values if elected. Instead, he became Corkers puppy. He is a bitter disappointment.Beat Lamar! : Help Me Vet Joe Carr
Joe will be in Johnson City tomorrow

I'm on record as saying it will be 61-62 yeas.
I see no reason to change that.

Perry gets the vast majority of things RIGHT.
If you think about the nature of his few BLUNDERS, though, they are HUGE.
There is nobody more opposed to Obamacare than Rick Perry. He has taken the wrong position on “tactics”, and he has fallen into the trap of using the Left’s government shutdown talking point.
It is inexplicable and indefensible.
But fits a pattern of mostly greatness interspersed with a few HUGE blunders.
I still love Rick Perry.
But he is terribly wrong on this.
I’ve always called ‘em as I see ‘em.

TN needs to primary Corker. Badly. We screwed up and got two challengers in 2012. Tenn is winner take all.

If you’re correct, that means that the entire GOP senate leadership voted AGAINST the will of the caucus..
