McCain Aye.
which does nothing for us and will provide political cover for those who voted aye when the whole plan goes south. THAT I do understand..
I am confused - what is the meaning of this present vote to “remove health law language”?
I am having trouble following the machinations.
You all can thank John Boehner and his cohorts for this.
You’re looking at it differently.
To me, Wormwood would be leftests (in DC or otherwise listening to Screwtape Harry).
The Patient = Patriots (which means leftists are excluded by default).
BUMP
Ted Cruz now leads GOP presidential pack: poll
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/27/ted-cruz-now-leads-gop-presidential-pack-poll/
Thanks for explaining it..
I and others have posted time after time on this forum that the Republican Party wants obamacare as much as the Democrats do. Each time, I was chastised and challenged to name one Republican that voted for it. The answer was simple: the reason no Republican voted for it was they did not have to. The Democrats controlled both Houses. The vote today shows the Republicans that are for obamacare.
this morning Corkers office told me that Corker would be voting against funding ObamaCare...
I said before that he needs to vote NO on the cloture..
The office boy said I dont know about that vote...
I just heard Corker...NO
but its NO for the wrong vote...
Now He will boast he voted NO on funding ObamaCare...
But he didnt really...
all that is needed for this vote is a simple majority..51-49 etc
the vote for cloture needed 61 and Corker gave them his vote for that
the traitous jerk..
hes unAmerican..
The vote is to remove the language in the House bill stripping funding for Obamacare.
In other words, to restore Obamacare funding.
At leaat we now know without a doubt who we have to work hard to defeat.
Bingo!!
Only 19 stayed with Cruz! Vitter, Paul, Lee, Cruz, Crapo, Enzi, Fischer, Roberts, Scott, Heller, Grassley, Toomey, Moran, Rubio, Shelby, Risch, Inhofe, Portman, Sessions
Final vote 79-19
He has been consistent in his Rhino votes lately. Very very disappointed in him. I have called, emailed etc... Lately he seems to vote with the dems.
There are only two explanations: He lied to us when he ran for the Senate or he is a weak man who was corrupted within a very short time of arriving in DC.
Regardless, I will never support him again. He voted the same way Feingold would have voted. So what’s the difference?
my hunch is that these Rino’s think that their constituents are a fickle bunch who will forgive and forget in Nov 14 and all will be well...after all you wouldn’t vote for a dem instead of them ( assuming no victorious primary challenger)
essentially they have made a bet that they will lose more votes from a government shutdown then they will from temporarily angering a few “radical” tea party types.
they are wrong....they will lose and it will be a beautiful thing
Thoughtful, insightful and greatly appreciated commentary. I too am proud of Ted Cruz. Unfortunately, he is not my senator.
Thanks, so this is where Reid sticks it to us. Just like Lee/Cuz said he would.
