Scientists say more certain mankind causes global warming [Bow Your Knee to the UN]

Leading climate scientists said on Friday they were more certain than ever before that mankind was the main culprit for global warming and warned the impact of greenhouse gas emissions would linger for centuries.

A report, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), played down the fact temperatures have risen more slowly in the past 15 years, saying there were substantial natural variations that masked a long-term warming trend.

It said the Earth was set for further warming and more heatwaves, floods, droughts and rising sea levels as greenhouse gases built up in the atmosphere. The oceans would become more acidic in a threat to some marine life.

“People certain there is global warming might be right. People certain there is not global warming might be right.”

You nailed it, IMHO. If we had the capacity today to lower CO2 levels rapidly and substantially, would that be a good idea? Could we be certain what the consequences would be? Are these same panel of climate scientists that certain that they would take whatever risks are involved?

Almanac, observations of natural phenomenon of insect and mammal behavior, and sunspot levels (coupled against previous levels/weather correlations).

Sounds like something the Obama speechwriters would cobble.

Anecdotally, it’s in BOTH Almanacs...but if you look to the activity of the sun, you would see that we are entering a minimum of solar activity. Read up on the Maunder Minimum. Lack of solar storms/flares lends to a colder earth. A solar maximum (a lot of activity on the surface of the sun) a warmer earth. The documented cycles go back to the time of Galileo.

The almanac is no different than a fortune teller. The other things may be accurate.

The only thing I am certain of is that in the NYC area, the winters are markedly warmer than 50 years ago. We get much less snow than we used to.

Are they really certain, say more certain than when they were pretty damned sure but after they were uncertain it wasn’t as bad. So now is it double dog certain?

You may expect something different this year, the sunspots are the key. This has been the second coldest summer on record in Georgia.

The more the wheels come off the hoax that is “global warming” the more hysterical and shrill the cries of those trying to perpetrate it are becoming. More and more the message has been we are certain, the science is settled, blah blsh, blah blah. Yet the evidence of the fraud and lies keeps piling up. Oh, and the earth has added its own twist by refusing to play along with their scam. The preponderance of data is now showing that their models are wrong. No doubt in no small part because they were tweaked and tuned to show what the scammers wanted, not actually try to match reality. Reality would not net the scammers billions.

To call these “scientists” scientists is an insult to real scientists. Take away the grant money from these political fools. Beat them with their worthless dissertations. How can these mental-midget maniacs sleep at night? Their integrity and ethics are so muddled.

Is this fact? Or did the rise turn into a decline?

As a side note, Og and his buddies are being blamed for the melting of the glaciers by building to many campfires.

The last 5 or so summers have been cooler than usual in NY, but the winters have been warmer than ever, so I am not sold on your theory.

The almanac is no different than a fortune teller.

Pretty close to true, but not really, from what I undersatnd they do semi-educated guesses.

I would dare you to take the long range forecast of ANY weather service, take screen shots every 8 hours for a month, then compare that with what actually happens.

It's about like the Almanac's record.

I can't say what's real for NYC area, but I do know that in the midwest, we have not changed all that much. Sometimes we have "normal" weather, and sometimes its hotter than normal, or colder than normal. All in all the past 15 years has not registered a change at all towards warmer, colder, more, or less precipitation.

I'm guessing if you did a genuine study on your area it would actually show the same.

I can’t wait to see how these men and women of science use the scientific method to support their new found knowledge . . . . . . . .

Still waiting . . . . . .

I can’t wait anymore. Bye.

So they want to blame humans for climate change. Okay. In the US we have one of the weakest Tornado seasons on record as well as one of the weakest Hurricane seasons on record. Good job humans ! You are helping save the planet from catastrophic climate.
