Leading climate scientists said on Friday they were more certain than ever before that mankind was the main culprit for global warming and warned the impact of greenhouse gas emissions would linger for centuries.
A report, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), played down the fact temperatures have risen more slowly in the past 15 years, saying there were substantial natural variations that masked a long-term warming trend.
It said the Earth was set for further warming and more heatwaves, floods, droughts and rising sea levels as greenhouse gases built up in the atmosphere. The oceans would become more acidic in a threat to some marine life.

So, in other words, the scientists claim they are right although their prediction was wrong. OK whatever.

He has been forced to recant his heretical theories and placed under house arrest.

Mankind is causing global warming, but climate scientists can’t explain why it isn’t happening the way they predict it should, or happening at all. It’s a quandary to be sure. Climate scientists are armed to the teeth with climate models, but the terrain of reality prevents their advance. Besides being wrong and irrelevant in the face of real climate data, the new IPCC report is an act of frustrated desperation, group flop sweat posing as consensus.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Does anybody remember when these idiots were placing the global temperature measuring devices in places to insure that it would verify their false theories...i.e. beside generators, downtown parking lots, etc. Suddenly when that was found out and they had to place the devices correctly, the temps started going down...Shaaaazam!

Global warming to the rescue. With enough megatonnage, we could vaporize the lefties and the islamics.
Certainly one can agree that climate is affected by the actions of man. Mankind is so evil that God is punishing us, as He did when He sent the Great Flood, the droughts so severe in Elijah’s day that there were no clouds for years, and of course, fire and brimstone that fell on Sodom and Gomorrah for their sexual sins. So now scientists agree that man is the cause of these calamities, but it has nothing to do with cars and coal.
The facts may not be there but the seriousness of the assertion is more than enough for the Al Gore Brigades.

As worldwide temperatures plummet, and the winter coming looks to be a once-in-a-generation brutally bitter one, the ‘scientists’ (read: Priests) ask us to ignore our frostbite and pay the few pennies we have remaining, to their God, GloBULLSH*T Warming.
I am reminded of an article I read a few years ago, one of the thousands of articles that supposedly documents global warming.
Some geologists measured an island and found that, indeed, just as predicted, the sea levels *are* rising. Reading further into the article, however, I learned that the island had actually risen a few centimeters from the sea floor. The measurements showed that the water line on the island was *lower* than it had been previously—not higher, as rising sea level would cause. These geologists concluded that sea levels are higher after they “corrected” for the rise of the island by subtracting a few centimeters from the island’s height (to correct for the island’s rise).
First of all, I question how anyone can measure an island’s height to within a centimeter.
Second, I question how anyone can know the height of sea level to within a few centimeters, given its extreme variability even during the course of a single day.
Let me say that I was unimpressed by this article, which was published in the prestigious journal Science.
Keep in mind that the scientists of the IPCC are using research articles similar in quality to the one I have just described. To my knowledge, there are no studies that actually establish that the proposed mechanism of global warming by “greenhouse” gases works as hypothesized, and no studies that definitively establish effects of climate variation that fall outside of natural variability. Also keep in mind that the substance of the IPCC report may be quite different than the executive summary that hits the news. In past reports, the content of the executive summary was heavily influenced by politicians and bureaucrats who wanted a specific bottom line; this one is likely to be the same.
Since global warming isn’t happen, this lets mankind off the hook.
People certain there is global warming might be right. People certain there is not global warming might be right. The politics on both sides of this is fun to watch.
Where does info on brutal winter a coming come from? Almanac? Fortune teller?
Those who believe mankind is destroying everything and lecture others should do their part and stop emitting carbon dioxide with each breath.
