(CNSNews.com) - As the people's elected representatives in Washington wrangle over the budget, the debt limit and defunding Obamacare, one freshman senator admits the news is not good.

--snip--

"Eventually, if you're going to defund Obamacare, you're going to have to pass a (repeal) bill because Obamacare is permanent law. It's part of that mandatory spending. And you have to pass a bill through the Senate and have the president sign it into law."

You better read or listen to what he actually said. He is right on the money

I’ll stop asking the government to solve my problems. When will they stop causing them?

“Any Senator who votes yes (on Friday’s cloture vote) is voting to give Harry Reid the power” to fund Obamacare, says Cruz.

He also doesn’t explain that Reid can amend to fund Obamacare. So a vote for cloture is a vote to fund. I wish Greta had pressed him a bit further.

JOHNSON: The bottom line is that the majority leader will always have that power, post-cloture, to amend the bill

And that's the point of the this whole exercise.

To enable the republicans in both houses to slip in their plan b.

Which was the plan all along.

And it doesn't include ever really doing anything at all to get rid of obamacare.

Ron Johnson is one of the guys who let the sale of F-16s go through to Egypt.

I'm surprised many people still don't get that. Here's a similar thread on Sen. Blunt. He's sounding very anti-Obamacare, but he's voting yes.

I think you could add Johnson to that list.

He told Van Susteren, “We need to start devolving this power back to the states, back to the people, because this place — trust me. I’m from the private sector. I’m a manufacturer. It’s impossible to convey the dysfunction of the federal government and of Washington.”

++++++++++++++++++++

The man is spot-on correct!

Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina says the same thing, but he's voting no.

BTW, Johnson is dead wrong about Obamacare being permanent law. He's not talking right.

You can probably find something bad to say about any politician. But Johnson is a fiscal conservative. He has principles, and seems to me to be a person of integrity.

Yes, he seems so. I have some mistrust I’m working on. He will likely vote Yes on cloture.

"Stop Relying on the Federal Government to Solve Your Problems"

Good advice, Senator. Now, how will you vote on cloture? You know, that thing that's going to force us all to rely on the federal government, in some cases for our very lives?!?

Same damn high chutzpah some of these guys have, let me tell you.

Please accept my apologies. It was a rhetorical question. In any case, we both know what he did.
