According to sources on the Hill, there is growing support among Senate Republicans to support Sens. Cruz and Lee's efforts to scuttle Sen. Harry Reid's attempt to reinstate ObamaCare funding in the House Continuing Resolution...
According to Hill sources, over 20 GOP Senators are set to buck Leadership on Friday and reject this procedural game, by voting against cloture. By some accounts, up to 30 Senators could vote against GOP Leadership, which would represent an existential crisis within the caucus. McConnell and Cornyn have publicly put their reputations on the line. If more than half the caucus votes against them, the center of power within the Senate Republicans will have shifted. ...........

The dems have to know this thing is a total wreck. You’d think they would jump ship, rather than face the wrath of the voters in the upcoming election.
Absolutely. Please cite my post to you, if needed.
Your post isn't spam (if that's the charge). It's a much needed public service.
Any Senator, including GOP Senators, who vote for shutting down debate
tomorrow is a vote to fund Obamacare. Pure and simple.
Reid: “There’s No Need For Conversations”
All the more reason to tell senators to vote NO! for cloture!
Thank you!

“You Sir, are a gentleman and a scholar, and there are damn few of us left!”
“Keep calling/faxing/Tweeting/FaceBooking and emailing!!”
You BET!
Better chance of talking with someone if you call in the morning.
However, leaving a message is good, too.
You can tweet these guys all at once. Someone posted this on Twitter:
“NO on cloture! @McConnellPress @SenAlexander @KellyAyotte @SenatorBurr @SenThadCochran @SenBobCorker @JohnCornyn @SenatorHagan #MakeDCListen “
Yeah, there’s still hope.
I think a lot of what pisses the GOP-e off is the fact they get angry that their voting constituents (us) are smarter and more well informed that the Democratic counterparts. I mean, if you’re a lib, all you gotta do is have a (D) next to your name and as long as you kiss enough media butt, your liberal supporters will come out and pull the lever, no matter what you do because if the media hides it, they don’t know any better.
Our guys on the other hand, should know better. They pull that crap (i.e. Amnesty reform, etc) and we light up the phone lines and make use of the primary system. Experience doing this has taught us some of those “complex” procedural rules Congress tries to pull on us to make us look like we don’t know what’s going on. We don’t give our RINOs cover like the Libs give their Blue Dogs. Look at Manchin, Landrieu, and Pryor. If Reid has the votes, it would not surprise me for Reid to give permission for them to oppose cloture, and all will be forgiven by their constituents because at the heart of every Democrat, the most important thing above anything else is winning and the “understanding” that they come from Red States where Dems wouldn’t normally have a prayer, and that anything with a (D) is preferable to an (R).
We, on the other hand, hold our people accountable and have long memories. I think the GOP-e really wishes we were just as stupid or ignorant and let them be.
Thank goodness for Ted Cruz. For the first time in a long time, we have a leader in Washington trying to fight for liberty. I’m still shocked he and Lee have had to almost single-handedly fight this alone. This isn’t rocket science what their doing.
November 2014: DeRINO Congress
interestingly Dingy Harry tried to push a vote on cloture at 8pm tonight...why the big hurry I wonder? perhaps numbers getting a bit too close for comfort? Perhaps asked to do this by republican leadership to avoid embarrassment tomorrow?
Regardless Sen Lee objected and the vote will be held during daylight hours for all the world to see...bring it on!
CRUZADE!!! LOVE IT!!!
Make no mistake..... If Obamacare is funded and implemented, it will be because Republican members of Congress decided to do it..... the Republican ‘House controls’ the fate of Obamacare...period!
Thanks for the info, Graewoulf.
Sen. Scott is a good man.
Just goes to show that we should try to talk to everyone about these issues, even when we think they won't listen.
Time to start reminding the citizenry about all the wonderful things they will have to look foward to with Ocare- Death panels, Irs telling your doctor when, how, and how much medical treatment you are allowed exc.. but then reassure people that they have nothing to worry about, because the important thing is that their elected officials exempted themselves from Ocare.
Just goes to show that we should try to talk to everyone about these issues, even when we think they won’t listen.
Great point.
But the key to doing that is to discuss it with them on a personal level that hits home with them.
The low info people don’t look at the big picture and must be slapped up the side of the head, so to speak.
And praying. Please don’t forget to pray (especially Thanks)!
This is the most optimistic I’ve been in a *long* time.
Wahoo!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the two senators from Georgia need a lot of calls and emails.
I will not be voting again for Coryn, a do nothing Senator.
