Some guy on Hannity called in this afternoon saying this. It is so simple it is brilliant and since it is so simple and there is something probably wrong with it. However, I see nothing in the Constitution that says it can’t be done unless some meat heads have created some stupid procedural rule preventing it.

Send every thing across that needs to be done and nothing that doesn’t need to be done. Full support and approval for essential functions... Constitutionally permitted functions of the Federal Government and nothing else.

It sounds great, but keep in mind Reid will just add an amendment funding all of government and then send it back to house. Then what? It’s the same predicament over and over again.

I think they should just shut the government down until 2017. I’d be happy with that.

Back in the 50-60's that's how everything was done. House and Senate each passed a bill for each Dept, then they had a conference committee negotiate each budget, then vote on each 'compromised' bill.

I really think that's what John Adams(?) Meant when he said, Democracy can only work in a Christian Society. There are now no limits, no morals in politics, so its to the bottom we go.

Procedural rules are just rules. Rules are made to be broken when necessary. The Constitution is the Law.
