When I read that line I “barfed” all over my keyboard.
McConnell is a “lost” RINO and needs to be sent home, permanently.
Bill Bennett tries just about every day to wrap his mind around this ‘conservative thing’.
He’s smart enough to realize it is a wise way of thinking but his whole formation was liberal
Many me catholics are in the same boat. Especially when like him who don’t embrace the totality of Catholicism
Time for the Elitists, all of them, to wake up and smell the anger among the masses.

And as I recall even he was somewhat tepid on Romney, like "there is no perfect candidate, he's the guy. He's better than Obama I'd say" sort of stuff. Shows you how awful a candidate Romney was, he couldn't even get an enthusiastic endorsement from the GOP water carriers.
That would be the same “Drug Czar” Bennett that convinced Bush the Elder to ban gun imports. I have no interest in anything he says. McConnell sucks, and should be primaried.
I heard a few minutes of Bennett’s show this morning. He was getting an ear full from some callers who defended Cruz. LOL.
Bill Bennett is an enigma to me. Sound thinker much of the time, but it’s always bothered me that he’s considered such a conservative stalwart after leading a department of the Federal government that has no justification in the Constitution.
However, support for McConnell tears it for me.
Dixie Lee Ray would be a conservative Republican today. She was one of the first scientists to debunk the envirowacko crowd.
Maybe Bennett should read his own books.
