It was the worst thing Ronald Reagan ever did.
Reagan and Bush were at each other’s throats just before the convention....then suddenly, he was named the running mate....I’ve always thought that the power elite demanded tha Bush be picked....what a mistake...

Ronald Reagan didn’t pick GHWB the GOPe did. They said they needed to “balance” the ticket....a conservative with a northeast “moderate”. When they were running in the primaries, GHWB called Reaganomics, “Voodoo Economics”. I could never forgive him for that and completely caved, bent over and grabbed his ankles to the DemocRATS when he broke his famous promise....”read my lips, no new taxes”.
