I was a tax payer at age 16 and a property owner at age 21.

I pay my bills and still enjoy things FROM my childhood, I wouldn’t say that I have “Lost my Childhood”.

I am able to PLAY while I am an ADULT BECAUSE I AM RESPONSIBLE!!!!!

That makes the PLAY I engage in that MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE because I have earned it and it is not HOLLOW!

You are an adult at 18-some are even younger-adulthood is a matter of parental teaching of responsibility, not biological age-where I come from, 18 is when you pay rent if you live at home, and are allowed to have a voice in family decisions. You are also responsible for your own vehicle and insurance, job, and most of all, your own actions-period.

I also assumed adult responsibilities at 16, and eloped with a 19 year old guy became a parent-and single-soon after, went to college with my job paying for it, and family help with childcare. Thanks to the rotten economy and MrT5’s death, I’m busting my ass just as hard now, and living on the ragged edge of ruin. I also know that it will get better if I keep on truckin’, because God has always seen me through.

Maybe I’m a hard bitch, but I have no sympathy for bogus “kids” older than 18, or their foolish parents-useless is as useless does...
