Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus backed Sen. Ted Cruz’s anti-Obamacare quasi-filibuster Tuesday, possibly sending a message to senior GOP leaders who are criticizing Cruz’s tactics in defunding Obamacare.
Cruz is speaking against Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid’s plans to hold a vote on a stopgap continuing budget resolution Wednesday, where Reid is expected to strip out language from the House version of the budget resolution that defunds Obamacare. Cruz doesn’t want the vote to happen until Obamacare is definitively defunded — without Reid’s expected changes.
“In a fight between Harry Reid and Ted Cruz, I will stand with Ted Cruz any day,” Priebus wrote in an email Tuesday headlined “I stand with Ted.” ”Today, Senator Cruz has taken the fight to defund ObamaCare to the Senate floor. I hope you will join me in standing with him in solidarity.”
“As Republicans,” Priebus continued, “we must remain true to our principles and fight to protect the American people from this reckless law.”
Priebus’ endorsement of Cruz is especially notable, considering that Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that he does not support Cruz’s attempt to block a vote on the House bill, which Cruz is pushing for because of Reid’s expected changes to it. Republican Sens. John Cornyn and Lindsey Graham have also come out in opposition to Cruz’s effort to block a vote on the bill.

Wow. I don’t believe it. There must be some reason he’s doing this, but I can’t immediately figure out what it is, since it seems to undermine the RINO Senate leadership. And I’ve never seen Preibus do that before.
Yep, you know the whole GOPe is undermining Cruz privately—and half are doing it publicly too; so if Mr. GOPe is flapping his gums in support publicly he must really be hearing from the base.

The American people have been solidly against ObamaCare all along.
ObamaCare is bad law at a multitude of levels.
If the Republican party can not get unanimously behind the defund ObamaCare then those that don't are showing their true colors.

I just responded to an e-mail from NRCC Headquaerters asking for $5 because Cruz actions. Here’s what I said:
Dear NRCC,
I will gladly support Ted Cruz....NOT YOU! When I give money it will be direct to him. He supports me. Most Republicans obviously do not! You have lost your way.
Ah Hah so Ted has a “friend” following him in the republican social pecking order..
If Ted STARTS the BIG TALK bottleneck..
THEN.. Preibus can threaten to “UNFRIEND HIM”.. (you know UNLESS he stops)..
I think Ted has some BIG brass ones, and poor ol Priebus has very small brass ones..
and a small limpid friend hanging near them flaccid..
You are exactly right Nelson111. I remember reading a month or so ago that the RNC was w-a-y behind on fund raising. We gave them an ear full all 4 times when they tried to hit us up for funding.
