The Showvoting In Washington And The RINO Strategy
9/24/2013 | Self

Posted on 09/24/2013 5:36:22 AM PDT by Nextrush

"Obamacare is awful, Obamacare is evil, Obamacare is an abomination etc. etc. etc.".......

The loud voices of Republican criticism are ringing out loud and clear as the RINO congressional leadership has set up two opportunities for business as usual GOP politicians to look good by casting NO votes on Obamacare even as they will allow it to go ahead in the end by funding it.

The House got their turn by voting last week and the Senate gets their turn this week.

That's because the Republican establishment will not stand up and support Senator Ted Cruz and his effort to filibuster against Obamacare which has already had negative consequences for this nation with even worse to come.

In fact, its being said that the disaster should be allowed to happen.

Did you see the headline under Laura Ingraham as she was on Fox News Channel just after 8AM Eastern this morning.

EXPERTS: GOP SHOULD LET LAW FAIL ON ITS OWN

Why?

Because in next two election cycles as the misery sets in the Republican Party can exploit it to win elections by speaking out against the evils of Obamacare.

Of course don't expect the GOP to reverse it as a costly entitlement program, they just want to make speeches against it so they can win some elections.

In fact the GOP Establishment will repeat its 2010 mantra in 2014 by trashing Obamacare with all the money the political machine can throw into the fight.

But in the end they will not reverse it just like Social Security, Medicare and Medicare Part D were not reversed after their creation.

OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE ELECTED REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS ARE BUSINESS AS USUAL POLITICIANS WHO POSTURE AS CONSERVATIVES TO WIN VOTES.

We saw proof of that when fewer than 17 of Republican House members did not challenge John Boehner for the speaker's position after his "imperfect deal" with Obama at the beginning of the year to raise taxes and the debt ceiling.

They are virtually all in with Boehner and just voting NO on issues like this to look good for the folks back home.

Laura Ingraham spoke this morning of the need to elect "conservatives" in 2014 and beyond because of Obamacare.

But we won't be electing real conservatives if we keep Boehner and 90 percent plus of the current crop of GOP House members in office like my congressman (Scott Perry) and many others.

And in the Senate, there needs to be a thorough cleaning with goodbyes to Corker, Cornyn, McConnell and many more.

Its looks like they pulled a slick maneuver. Now every Republican in congress both houses will swear that they voted to defund Obama-care, even if, hard to imagine, that it still ends up funded..

There won’t be any base left by 2016 to carry the water for the next lame POTUS candidate.

“just like Social Security, Medicare and Medicare Part D were not reversed after their creation”

Repubs had control of the senate, house and president for a total of 4 years 2003-2007 (I do not count 50-50 with jeffers being number 50 on our side being “control” during 2001-2003).

And I would say that the public by a 70-30 margin wants SS, Medicare and Medicare part d continued in some form as they are very popular.

Obamacare is not supported by the public and their anger will only grow with its implementation.

You’re catching onto the political trickery.

Romney, Cantor and others have spoken using the phrase “repeal and replace” regarding Obamacare in their political discourse in recent years.

Obamacare would be “continued in some form” if the RINO leadership staging these phony defunding NO votes had their way.

“imperfect deal” with Obama at the beginning of the year to raise taxes and the debt ceiling.

fyi, if there was no deal, taxes would have increase by stupifying amount.

Boehner did not have a good hand to play.

Given the cards he was holding, I think he played them for about all he could get.

Yes, some parts of Obamacare would continue like pre existing conditions coverage, but that is about it.

The problem is the voters, not the republicans.

The voters want coverage for preexisting conditions and the voters also want most of the rest of obamacare repealed.

If you go against the voters, you usually end up voted out of office.

This seems to be a concept lost on you.

If true conservatives were the majority, you would get the things you want.

Bottom line is true conservatives are not the majority.

With that kind of thinking this country has sunk deeper into debt with both parties responsible for what is now something like a 17 trillion dollar national debt.

When this country goes down the tubes because of that, Republican politicians will be able to say: “Well at least we kept the voters happy so they kept on electing us...”

So you believe that the republicans should come out for

REPEAL OF OBAMACARE
REPEAL OF SOCIAL SECURITY
REPEAL OF MEDICARE
AND REPEAL OF MEDICARE PART D

I hope you enjoy being an army of one.

We need fiscal responsibility and you know Obamcare is a guaranteed budget buster.

That 17 trillion dollar number would make great political advertising and give us a starting place to reform all of the above programs.

BALANCED BUDGET NOW IS MY TAGLINE BUT I GUESS THAT JUST ISN’T GOOD BUSINESS AS USUAL POLITICS.

Everyone wants their cheese, don’t they?

A period of lawlessness is needed in this country. I don’t have to travel far to fill up a target list.

********
Of course not. They will spend even more money “fixing” it but they’ll never replace it. Just like the Democrats, government is their “line of business” and they will expand it at every opportunity.
