“All of his tests came back normal, but right before he was going to transferred for observation he went into cardiac arrest”
I’m going to join in the prayers. The timing on this for me is really personal.
I just got back from the ER myself!
My blood pressure is all over the place, up to 175/110 pulse 114. It can jump 20 points just by sitting up or lying down. My pulse is also all over the place, from 68 all the way to 117. My left arm is hurting and the two small left-hand fingers are hurting. My chest feels fluttery. I called my aunt who is a nurse and told her my symptoms. She told me to go to the ER immediately.
I went to the hospital at 1am last night. They took my blood pressure. They saw my pulse racing. I told them that both my parents and all of my grandparents had heart problems. They hooked up a bunch of wires on my chest.
They said they didn’t see any wrong and sent me home.
(They said it must be stress.)
So I’m sitting here with my heart going monkey-crazy, my left arm feeling tired, my pinkie finger and the next one painful (hard to type this), and wondering what to do.
And I get on FR, see this request for prayer, click on it, and here is a man whose tests came back normal then he had a heart attack. D’oh!
So I am going to pray for your Dad, that they will find out what is going on!
Prayers up!
In late but prayers up now for all of you and especially your dad. Let us know, please.
Prayers.
Prayers out for your Papa.
Wishing him and you all the best...
Prayers have been sent. I’m glad you are getting out there to be with him. How frustrating that must be to not be there! Like Mesta said, keep us updated.
My family is praying for your family. For healing, for strength and for perseverance. Rely on the Lord and have peace in your heart.
I had something similar in July, 2000.
A virus of some kind, and at some point, infected my heart.
I felt weak, had trouble breathing, and had no energy. Plus, fluid was building up in my lungs.
On my birthday, after a week or two or seeing my go downhill, my sister pleaded with me to go to the emergency room. I did, and I was told I had “dilated cardiomyopathy. I spent three days in intensive care. What I had was similar to what Randy Travis suffered from recently. Doctors don’t know why I came down with it.
At the time, I didn’t have a doctor, so the woman on call in the hospital at that point in time became my physician.
She recommended COQ-10, which can be purchased over the counter in Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, or any pharmacy.
A normal ejection fraction is 55% to 73%....mine was 21%.
One year later, my ejection fraction was 50%, and my doctor called me all excited and said, “You’re cured!”
A year later my ejection fraction was 60%.
I didn’t have the other symptoms your Dad has, but CO-Q10 has a reputation for being good for the heart. Many cardiologists will ignore it, however, because they have a big pharma mindset and there’s no money for them in COQ-10.
Prayers being offered up for a speedy recovery for your Dad.
Prayer IS powerful. I just added mine.

Are prayers so precious we cannot afford to spend them
on others?
