Sounds like Medved's saying that there's nothing we can do and we should just 'give up'

What say you?

That is what his show consists of year in, year out, election after election his show is devoted to moderating the GOP.

"Sounds like Medved's saying that there's nothing we can do and we should just 'give up' "

Medved is saying much more than that.

He's saying that Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are callous liars.

I want Medved to prove that assertion. Until then, I'll go with my gut instinct and believe the Tea Party leaders and look askance at Michael ("seize the ideological center") Medved.

Has Medved ever called Obama a liar?

Medved has some good social values to be sure! But he is very poorly informed as to many political matters, it seems.

Congress (specifically the House) has the power of the purse.

no matter what Medved may think, this is how our government is set up

I never listen to Medved anymore-—he is a Progressive. I’ve even read his books—and he makes great points-—but, no “fixing” anything.... Just go along with the Progressive agenda. It is why he is allowed to be on the air.

Knew this 8 years ago. He will sound conservative at times—very conservative-—but trust me when I say-—he is NOT conservative-—he is a closet Progressive and undermining this country, just like a Paul Ryan/Christie.

"What bothers me about it most and what I find most unforgivable is people like Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin are lying to the base.

Has Medved ever said it was unforgivable to pass Obamacare? I'm betting he has never said anything even remotely close to that when it comes to discussing the damage Obama has done to this country.

What he meant to say was that no died in the wool RINO thinks it can be stopped.

Conservatives know it can be stopped. We just have to find reps with the spine and commitment and toe them into office. More people like Cruz. And we will.

A better question is how many people think it can last? A gigantic new spending program in a country that is already 200 Trillion in debt?

That a couple of hundred people voted on it is actually inconsequential. Washington can wish it into existence, but in the end it and a lot of other things, will not be sustainable.

Stephanie, not to nitpick, but commas don’t replace question marks and periods, not even when in a quote.

Obamacare will either have to be stopped now, or in the future, when it has done irreparable damage to the economy, health insurance, the health industry and family incomes. Everyone, even the fanatical leftists know it is a mistake, but pride and arrogance drive it on. What is the plan to stop it after the train wreck?

This defund vote exposes two extremes, which will be a great thing for conservatism. Either the House will be strengthened in 2014 for being bold and standing on principle, or the Senate GOP will be rewarded for their Karl Rovian pastel meakness. In 2014, bold and meak will be on the ballet. Will The House or Senate prevail at the polls? All GOP that cave, don’t vote to defund, will be outed as “beltway gamers” and the stench of their elitist hypocrisy will not be easily erased from the voter’s memory.

This is a litmus test and conservatism will ultimately benefit, regardless of the actual defund movement’s outcome. Thank you Cruz, Lee and Palin!

Same f’ing RINO that backed the losers McCain and Romney early and often. STFU Medved unless you have something constructive and intelligent to say.

There are numerous ways to defund ObamaCare #1 Don’t fund it.It is the prevue of the House to decide what is and what is not funded. End of story. All it takes is political will and guts.

Yeah, Republicans need to learn from history.
December 22nd 1944

To the U.S. A. Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne.

‘The fortune of war is changing. This time the U.S.A. forces in and near Bastogne have been encircled by strong German armored units. More German armored units have crossed the river Ourthe near Ortheuville, have taken Marche and reached St. Hubert by passing through Hombres Sibret-Tillet. Libramont is in German hands.

There is only one possibility to save the encircled U.S.A. troops from total annihilation: that is the honorable surrender of the encircled town. In order to think it over a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the presentation of this note.

‘If this proposal should be rejected one German Artillery Corps and six heavy A.A. Battalions are ready to annihilate the U.S.A. Troops in and near Bastogne. The order for firing will be given immediately after this two hours term.

‘All the serious civilian losses caused by this Artillery fire would not correspond with the well known American humanity.

(signed) ‘The German Commander’

“The German Commander received the following reply:

‘22 December 1944 ’To the German Commander:

‘NUTS!

(signed) ‘The American Commander’

McAuliffe continued:

“Allied Troops are counterattacking in force. We continue to hold Bastogne. By holding Bastogne we assure the success of the Allied Armies. We know that our Division Commander, General Taylor, will say: Well Done!

“We are giving our country and our loved ones at home a worthy Christmas present and being privileged to take part in this gallant feat of arms are truly making for ourselves a Merry Christmas. A.C. McAuliffe

He promised us that Romney would win, and he should have know what a bad candidate Romney would be. He will support no one who is less moderate than Romney.

Well, he must be good at it, because I've never seen a more spineless bunch of milquetoasts.
