No.
Washington DC is drowning in a sea of thugs and criminals, but the country is not “drowning in a sea of guns”.
In fact, I do not think ENOUGH law abiding citizens are stepping up and accepting the responsibility of owning and bearing firearms for self protection.
Too many people, especially those in large cities, are far too reliant on the police to “take care” of them.
