I'll have to disagree with Dr. Sowell on this. Isn't he aware that once a Democratic entitlement goes into effect, it essentially becomes a "civil right" that leftist courts will then protect against a future legislative move to abolish it? This is always the case with the leftist agenda - everything they pass goes through a one-way valve and then become undo-able in the name of "rights."

He understands it, he just doesn’t think now is the time to fight it. I have the greatest respect for Dr. Sowell, but I disagree with him on this one. We must fight this bill very hard. I agree that Obama will simply veto the bill even if it passes the Senate. But if we show we’re giving in meekly, this monstrosity will be permanent.
