The Secret American Subculture Of Putin-Worshippers
National Journal ^ | September 23, 2013 | Mark Cogan

Posted on 09/23/2013 8:44:27 AM PDT by Biggirl

Two years ago, Gayne C. Young, a Texas-based writer and blogger for Outdoor Life, scored the interview of a lifetime. As a beat writer, Young had enjoyed the outdoor exploits of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been documented shooting a gray whale with a crossbow, tranquilizing a tiger attacking a news crew, hunting shirtless, fishing shirtless, and riding horseback shirtless. On a personal level, Young liked the rugged brand of masculinity that seemed a throwback to Teddy Roosevelt. "Although you have Clinton shooting ducks, you never see it. Although Rick Perry says he enjoys hunting, you don't see it. They say they do, but they don't. Obama says he shoots skeet, but they only released one picture," Young says. "Here's a guy out there fishing, with no qualms. He's like, 'You don't like it? Tough.' Then he'd escalate and do more."

Also in America, we have the cult of communism and militant Islam worshipers called “leftists.”

I like this comment at the site:

It's not that they admire Putin, it's just that they crave some testosterone in their own leadership....there is nothing decidedly masculine about this countries current political leaders in washington. In short...excepting a handful like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz...They're all a bunch of P*ssies...especially the president

I don’t worship Putin, I merely dislike him considerably less than I dislike President FUBO.

weird because when Bush was President all we ever heard was how he was a monkey, a gimp and how they wished they had other world leaders as President.

Now the media are doing as much as they can to paint Russia and Putin as the enemy whilst playing on patriotism to Americans to hate Putin and love bozo the clown.

I notice the article references Free Republic.

I don’t love Putin. But I hold our Marxist-in-Chief in such complete contempt that Putin looks benign by comparison. And I do consider him less dangerous; he is outside the gate while our Marxist-in-Chief is inside the gate and inside the palace walls.

Yes.

I don’t worship Putin. I just acknowlege that he’s much more of a man than the President.

But still not as much of a man as the First Lady.

Not to mention that he makes Catholic monarchists swoon...

"In the East there is someone that causes the western liberal's maniacal laughter to stop. Vladimir Putin. He has real world power, which causes the liberal media to fearfully ignore or warp his image. Like a good Christian King he leads a nation to Christ. Deep down in their evil souls they shriek like devils because they know Christ is true God and true power that they cannot defeat. They thought the Bolshevik revolution destroyed Holy Mother Russia. Christ cannot be defeated and his servant Putin has welcomed Christ and His church."

I don't worship Putin, far from it, I don't want him here.
It's just that he has come down on the right side on several issues recently, while our own president has been floundering or worse.
The term "worship" here is just regular leftist name calling.

Take a look around FR. Not too far from the truth for some. They allow their dislike for our current president to translate into some kind of adoration for Putin.

You think Putin gives a s$&t about American citizens? What he does he does to gain political leverage back at home and in global affairs.

Some of you can be downright blind to that.

The enemy of your enemy can still be your enemy.

“The new narrative. Conservatives love foreign despots.”

Nope, just when we compare a limp wrist idiot piece of quota baby MSM supported piece of excrement to a real leader (who is less crooked and sleazy than the our Dork-in-Chief), what can we say?

Now, give us a real man (a la Ronald Reagan) and see what the comparison would be.

But the Obamadork? Gimme a break.

When you have pansyfied a culture to the point of absurdity it is easier for a strongman to catch the eye of the populace.

People are looking for a real man, but the establishment will do what it takes to destroy any domestically grown real man like Ted Cruz.

Worship has nothing to do with the truth.

NSA spying on the people - exceptionalism

Federal agencies deliberately working to smother “dangerous” political thought - exceptionalism

An ever growing bureaucratic fungal mat smothering entrepreneurship and crushing all will to strive or achieve - exceptionalism

Cradle to grave indoctrination of the communist party line in schools and ever growing social agencies - exceptionalism

Elected officials getting fabulously wealthy by legislating financial advantages for themselves - exceptionalism

Companies and unions buying influence with elected officials who legislate financial advantages for all 3 - Exceptionalism

Pedophile congressmen getting away with sleeping with underage prostitutes - exceptionalism

30 million + illegal aliens overrunning the country unchecked for someone elses political and financial gain - exceptionalism

Billions in foreign aid to nations that hate us - exceptionalism

Billions spent on pipe dream green energy scams that produce no energy and drive up costs - exceptionalism

Elected officials openly contemptuous toward the people who elected them - exceptionalism

Hitch hiking to the space station in Soyuz capsules from the 1960s because we don’t have a ride of our own - exceptionalism

Elected “Representatives” who exempt themselves from the laws they pass for their “constituents” - exceptionalism.

There is a difference be admiring someone and worshiping him.
I admire Teddy Roosevelt, but I despise his policies.
I might admire Putin without being particularly happy with him - I do wish we had a president who pursued the national interests of the USA as ruthlessly and effectively as Putin pursues the interests of Russia.
