"Now in Texas you have Republican Primary for Governor. And there's a fellow running in the Republican Primary that I've known since I was - how old? - 22 years old. His name is Tom Pauken. He's a Reaganite. He was a long-time Reaganite. Before Reagan he was a Goldwater guy. As solid as they come. A good friend of mine. And Tom Pauken would make an OUTSTANDING Governor of Texas. So I want to wholeheartedly tell my friends all over the state of Texas if you get a chance give Tom a very careful look. You won't be disappointed."

“Yes, I joined in April because Im psychic and knew he was going to start a campaign in June.”
You also appear to stretch the truth. Pauken signed up and announced on March 22, 2013. You joined on April 30, 2013.

That’s why I asked about it. I had very little knowledge of who he was. I met him a couple of times. I had only heard him speak about being with Reagan.
I assumed Abbott was the next Governor.
They still don't, his name recognition is non-existent.
Should he become more prominent, someone will eventually
dig up his unfortunate incident with the chickens and rehash
all that old unpleasantness. Bad business, that.
What chickens? Never heard of that incident
Well Cruz’s run to the top started when Levin endorsed him. Others followed. (correct me if my timeline is wrong, but I think I’m pretty close)
Might happen in the same way for Pauken. I doubt Cruz will abandon his former employer in Abbott though.
It is you who didn't read the article you posted, or, you are so “not smart”, you can't read and understand what Abbott said about opposing that merger IN THAT ARTICLE. Abbott's office said:
“His office explained their rationale in a statement, saying the state was concerned about the potential for reduced airline service to several of Texas smaller airports that are currently served exclusively by American Airlines and American Eagle flights.
The strategy of eliminating low-producing flight routes has followed other airline mergers and already is part of U.S. Airways business plan, the attorney general said.
‘If this strategy is continued when U.S. Airways executives take over leadership at the new American Airlines, some areas in rural Texas could see their travel options reduced as a result of the merger,’ the statement said.”
Not the way Pauken supporters are lying and slandering Abbot. Junior turned a lot of people on FR against his dad.
I know that while I'm walking the streets and knocking on doors, I'll be campaigning AGAINST both Pauken and Dewhurst. The sleazebags.

Yep.
“Well Cruzs run to the top started when Levin endorsed him.”
PURE AND TOTAL BOVINE SCAT, also known as BS.
Your credibility is zero.
From Abbott’s oped:
“The legal action is based on evidence such as internal emails, investor presentations and other comments by top executives of the airlines. Those documents reveal their thinking about how shrinking competition in the airline industry and, hence the merger will allow the airlines to pile even more bag fees, ticket change fees and increased fares on customers. American and US Airways compete directly on thousands of heavily traveled routes. The merger would allow the new company to shed that competition and distort the marketplace while harming competition for nearly 200 Texas routes.”
From the DOJ:
“In recent years, however, the major airlines have, in tandem, raised fares, imposed new and higher fees, and reduced service. Competition has diminished and consumers have paid a heavy price.”
Both party’s reasoning are nearly exact.
Shouldn’t he let the market decide prices and competition rather than government? Aren’t mergers a part of the free market process which conservatives should support?
Actually, Levin did endorse Cruz very early in the race.

So not BS.
“Arent mergers a part of the free market process which conservatives should support?”
Not in this case and others that affect the entire population. It’s a legal thing - mergers that affect transportation which is used everyday by millions upon millions across the country, are subject to approval.
A merger in transportation that would limit Texans from traveling is Abbott’s business. All those states that are opposing this merger, is for that reason.
You are not informed enough to postulate here. I think it’s time for a Reagan quote that fits you, “Aww, shut up.”
“Well Cruzs run to the top started when Levin endorsed him.”
That is the part of your post that is BS, what YOU said, not what Levin said. Reagan’s quote is right for you.
I guess that means Holder is right too if Abbott is since they use the same excuse.
Hey look, a pro-Pauken article that doesn’t throw mud and unnecessarily attacks Abbott. fascinating.
You trying to stretch this to slime Abbot is just working against Pauken.
