They need to hold firm and keep this fight through the shutdown and then redouble their efforts to put Obama on an island as the one person who is forcing the shutdown to simply force his namesake monstrosity. Let him try to defend it as he becomes weaker and weaker. The American people will realize after a couple weeks that the shutdown of the gummit will not be the end of the world and they are fine without it. Couple this with the fight against a bigger and more tyrannical regime and you have the perfect storm for a change of thought between the Rulers from the ruled.

Your logic as usual is impeccable. Problem is we need to be dealing with an opponent who cares about something more than his next political move.We aren't.

All the regime cares about are numbers. And they have had the debt ceiling debacle figured out for some time.It was even timed to start while Syria ended as predicted by some here. Whether or not Reid sends the bill back to Boehner or does nothing probably won't matter.

I listened to an audio clip between Mark Levin and Ted Cruz and it appears the game plan is for Boehner to simply send individual funding bills for each dept, possibly one at a time, to Reid and then see what happens.

This method is only good if your opponent actually cares if people suffer or not!

They don't!!

All they care about once again is political gain nothing else.

Unless the Dear Leaders numbers start to fall which is unlikely since the media will be covering his skinny ass 24/7 and have already started with how terrible a govt. shut down would be and how it will cost jobs all due to us, he will do nothing but blame us over and over. The worse things get, the more he will blame us. And, this particular regime will make sure things are bad. As bad as they can make them in hopes of yet more politic again, its all they value. Even though its 100% his fault the govt. is shutting down, with the media lying for him he stands a very small chance of losing or incurring falling numbers.

I doubt we win this one.

Meanwhile, the real scandals that lead to impeachment and everyone here know which ones they are; Benghazi, Egypt, IRS, nsa,go unchecked, untalked about and as good as forgotten.

The real agenda of following through on the scandals which could lead to impeachment or at the very least a totally weakened Democrat party will now be tossed aside. IMHO, we need to pick our battles.

The Republicans need to point out that Obama has already postponed the company mandate, issued many waivers...yada, yada.

If this is the so-called law of the land, what right does the President have to implement only those parts that do not displease his donors.

And what about those congressional staffers now exempt from this?

If this is the law of the land, what right does Obama have to only put into effect those parts that please him?

I don’t see many Republicans reporting this truth.

Britt Hume, Mike Wallace....they just roll with the Blue Blood Republicans....the hell with what the MAJORITY of America wants.

Here’s how to explain it....

...a couple of months ago Rand Paul stood at a filibuster in the senate because the administration would NOT admit that they’d never authorize a drone to spy on an American citizen.

Paul had a couple of supporters but mostly he did it himself.

Now Rand Paul did not HAVE to do this. He could have taken no action and no doubt had their been weeks to discuss this action the fine, fine Karl Roves of the world would have dismissed it as silliness...ineffective.

and yet, my lying ears heard Eric Holder, the finest AG this country has ever had, pressured to admit publicly that no, America would not target its citizens via drone without any court order.

Why did this happen?

Because of Paul’s action which caused Americans, NOT the political elite who could care less about us, to stop and scratch heads and wonder, well WHY don’t the administration just say it for God’s sake.

This happen because a Republican legislator DID something.

so now the Republican legislators are doing something and I know what Cruz is doing is what the American people want.

Now we know who belongs solidly to our political class and who does not.

I will not ever support a single one of them out lambasting this action.

THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING!!

So Cruz does and he’s pilloried endlessly.

they all make me ill.

Everyone knows that, but they are trying to polish a turd and this is political theater to show they stand for something. If not it is time for a new Party what will.

Our group here have gathered enough signatures to stop Light Rail in Portland and the measure will pass. We stopped a billion dollar boondoggle in a liberal state. That is what standing up can do.

Of course they don’t. Zero doesn’t even care if Rome burns. But the rest of the rats want to save their own skins. And even the media won’t be able to cover for Dingy Harry when he rejects funding for the military.

Besides, what’s the alternative? Surrender?

Jam the senate with individual spending bills.
Paint Reid as an obstructionist, the Man of No

Cruz should throw one of the prior House “kill 0bama care bills” as an amendment into the CR

The law is still unconstitutional, and I think it should be opposed. As it encompasses more job/economic misery, Senate Democrats may be the reason Reid doesn’t want a vote.

Notice the House Democrats who voted to de-fund it are nowhere to be interviewed, but let it be Graham/McCain opposing Republicans and they are everywhere...
