On Thursday, 13 people were shot and injured in a park in Chicago. The shootings were carried out by an “assault style rifle” with a high-capacity magazine, both of which are already banned in the city of Chicago. Nevertheless, Chicago Police Superintendent Garry F. McCarthy has called for a nationwide ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.

“Illegal guns drive violence. Military-type weapons, like the one we believe to have been used in this shooting, belong on a battlefield, not on a street or in a corner or in a park.”

Chicago was named the murder capital of the United States by the FBI on Thursday, and has had more homicides this month than several states yearly total for 2011.

How about a nationwide ban on incompetent police superintendents who's job it is to stop this gang violence and clean up the streets of criminals? They want to ban guns which are already banned in the city but not arrest, prosecute and imprison the criminals who use illegal guns to shoot, wound and kill people at an alarming rate. Anyone afraid to go to combat in a war zone need not worry. They can just go to Chicago or Detroit or some other liberal sheet hole and experience what it's like first hand right here at home. Chicago is a gun-free zone except for the criminals and gangs. No one can protect themselves or shoot back at the bad guys. And yet there is more gun violence and murders in Chicago than anywhere else in the country. We don't need to ban guns. We need to ban poor policing and criminals that use guns to commit murder and armed robberies.

You forgot E. St. Louis, Cleveland, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Houston, LA, Seattle, and other Democrat-controlled liberal shitholes.

Either Albuquerque or Santa Fe is on the up and coming list, as well as San Diego, Atlanta, some smaller cities in Florida, Gaithersburg, Md., and maybe Trenton (an old standby for high crime rates).
