Uncle Joe is making her life a living hell.
Friends say Caroline Biden is a “hot mess” with a history of booze and pill addiction — and she blames it all on the tremendous pressure she faces being the vice president’s niece.
“She would complain about it all the time,” a confidant, socialite Paul Johnson Calderon, said without a hint of sarcasm.

Sounds like an addict I knew - blamed everyone for his problems but himself. Joe Biden is...Joe Biden, but I strongly doubt that he poured booze and pills down her throat.
The vice president’s staff did not return a call or e-mail for comment.

I believe they are referring to Caroline’s parents, one of whom is Joe Biden’s brother.
Alcoholic Republicans and Conservatives can more honestly blame THEIR condition on the fact that Joe Biden is Vice President (and 0bama pResident).
I know exactly what the problem is. She has an addictive personality and doesn’t want to, or know how to, take responsibility for her life.
Ipso facto, it’s someone else’s fault...the devil made me do it.
I have a 36 yo nephew like that. His father is an enabler who supports him, bails him out and makes excuses. Ships him out to us to see what we can do. We got him into a position where all he had to do was show up for work every day. That’s it. No other responsibilities beyond bathing and feeding himself. We told him, we are not enablers like your dad. You piss this away and you are on your own. He lasted 3 weeks. His dad doesn’t want him back in his state so he pays the rent and all the utilities for him while he stays sh1tfaced all the time. We turn down any requests from his dad to assist in the enabling. We are apparently the only ones in the family that actually know the word NO and don’t back down.
Ah, thank folks for letting me vent.
