Senate Democrats are urging Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to be aggressive in the standoff over a government shutdown with House Republicans.
They say Reid should counter the House Republican government funding bill by not only stripping language defunding ObamaCare, but by increasing funding for the rest of the government.
Democrats say Reid can afford to go on offense against Republicans given their division, and polls that show most voters would blame them if the government shuts down.
“We’re going to try to get as high a CR level as we can get,” said Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the third-ranking member of the Democratic caucus, referring to the stop-gap spending measure. “We are not going to be held hostage.
“We think it should be higher than the $988 [billion] level, absolutely. But we’re not going to have a negotiation that deals with extraneous issues,” he added. “We’re going to negotiate to get as a high a level as possible.”
But the first step for Democrats, Schumer said, is to remove the ObamaCare issue from the government funding resolution......

I, too, am extremely proud that the Republican House leadership pulled the caucus together to finally take a firm principled stand againt the “Horror” know as Obamacare. But.....the statement and stand, go way futher then just Obamacare. Obama and his Obamabot Democrat Party are enroute to destroying the American economy, American jobs, America medical care, America’s position as the number one power in the world, increasing poverty in the USA by signifant count, keeping people of color in economic bondage, destroying free enterprize, etc. That’s what this fight is all about!!!
Now....we, the American people need to really, seriously, embark upon an action program, by notifying our representatives in Congress, that we want this Obama activity stopped....dead in its tracks. So....keep the calls & e-mails to Congress Critters in both parties going, non-stop....and,, make certain that everyone of you and your friends, relatives, work associates, etc., signs & endorses, the Lee/Cruz Petition to Defund Obamacare Ignore, Democrats, media, RINOS, etc. They are frightened silly that a sea change is underway in the American Republic!!!

The left perceives weakness. It’s well past time that they got it shoved back in their faces. In spades.
As the gauntlet has been picked up, we have to pick it and back the conservatives. We must. Because if conservatives fail to show themselves as willing to fight, we will lose far more in the longer term. Like the country itself.
If the conservative consensus emerges that there is absolutely no chance to affect the outcomes through the political process in Washington, then the next move will be to pivot and try to change it dramatically at the state level. I.e. through attempts at secession. And once that gets going, things are likely to get real ugly, real quick.
Oh and as for ‘rat “leadership” and their fellow pederasts?

Reid and his bunch resemble a false front on a studio film set. Fake. To further their incessant march to transform America into a one party government, they (and their accomplices in the media and academia) have no problem lying to and hurting the very people they purport to help.
There is no compromising with them - to do so is giving them the weapon they’ll wield against you.
Reid must be put on the defensive. He and his bunch are not supported or liked by a majority of Americans.
Translation: We don’t have the votes because too many Democrats want to get re-elected. Reid needs to use a magic spell so they don’t have to vote.
