JMHO - it would be nice if someone on the Hill brought this up ...
I also want to see legislation that says, “No. If you are a government “worker” and you get laid off or lose days / weeks / months, whatever, you will NOT receive ‘back pay’ for the time you missed. No more paid vacations.”

Taxpayers should get a 1/365th tax cut for every day its shut down.

federal employees DO NOT fear a fedgov shutdown. why? because once it starts back up, they get back pay.
if they didn’t get paid.. and citizens wouldn’t pay for those days... the fedgov would actually care
