Okay, so in Britain a “barrister” is a lawyer, as opposed to this country where it a person who serves you coffee? In England, you have two types of lawyers, "barristers", who are trial lawyers who argue cases in court, and "solicitors", who due things like draw up contracts and wills and send nasty letters threatening to sue.
