In the year since the Benghazi terrorist attack took the lives of four Americans, House Republicans have continually pressed the Obama administration for answers regarding events preceding the attack, the administrations response, and what has been done to protect the lives of Americans going forward. Those efforts will continue with three House committee hearings this week. Heres more:
The House Foreign Affairs Committee holds a hearing Wednesday, September 18th at 10 am ET titled: Benghazi: Where is the State Department Accountability? The committee notes that four employees placed on administration leave following the attack have recently been re-assigned within the department. This hearing will examine why no one inside the State Department has yet been held accountable for the failures and deficiencies identified in the Benghazi Accountability Review Boards report. [TUNE IN HERE ] The House Oversight & Government Reform Committee holds a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 9:30 am ET with Benghazi Accountability Review Board co-chairs Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering and Admiral Michael G. Mullen, USN (Ret.), members of the Departments security panel that conducted a review, and family members of those killed in the attack. The hearing will focus on the review boards investigation and questions that still remain regarding the attack and the administrations response. [TUNE IN HERE] The House Armed Services Committee will hold a hearing Thursday, September 19th at 3:30 pm ET on lessons from Benghazi and the Defense Departments ability to respond to similar attacks today. Earlier this year, House Republicans released an interim report on Benghazi outlining the findings of five committees of jurisdiction investigating the attacks, and laying out next steps including additional hearings and an ongoing effort to obtain access to witnesses and information being withheld by the Obama administration. It is disgraceful that one year later, even though a number of the terrorists who participated in this attack have been identified, not a single one has been brought to justice, Speaker Boehner said last week, pledging that Republicans will press forward with our investigation until we have answers, full accountability, and justice.
Issa issues subpoenas today for two people. Did anyone catch the names and who they are?
Are those Woods family members in the background? That Asian girl/woman is pretty.
Issa just named two names of people on the ground who he has placed under subpoena.
WE WILL NOT END OUR INVESTIGATION UNTIL ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED, said Issa.
Smith’s mother was up first and she’s back.
Cummings sucking up precious oxygen again.
Cummings sympathetic to loss of family...
And DOES NOTHING when given the chance...
All blah blah blah and NO ACTION!
Issa says that Chaffetz got a totally different story from Ham ‘before the handlers got to him’.
Wow...we knew this from some of Chaffetz’s interviews but the way Issa just put it in the congressional record is impressive.
Subpoena Ham!
Issa has subpoena'd two people that the State Dept. have blocked from testifying.
Sorry, I messed up the order of text and links ... second time today.
“Those people said FBI agents took away two computers in late October and returned them in mid-November (2012)”
Interesting timing, eh?
November 15, 2012
A State Department Accountability Review Board (ARB) is investigating the attack. That panel includes former Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Pickering and former Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen, now retired from the military.

Now, what was that answer Mullen gave today ... that he wasn’t picked he was asked by Hillary.
SUBPOENA GENERAL HAM (UNDER OATH)
Is this a live hearing?
he didn’t even look at them. He READ a speech and didn’t ONCE lift his eyes to face them/ Bastard.
It is. This is getting it down to the nitty gritty.
yes
“Issa says that Chaffetz got a totally different story from Ham before the handlers got to him.”
Wonder if his computer was hacked. /justsaying
Pickering to DeSantis:
“We found weaknesses in taking account of a whole series of activities in the region that everybody seemed to live with, and not take as a kind of bell-ringing in the night that the situation was getting worse and you’d better take a look at it.”
Pickering to DesJarlais:
“He [Raymond Maxwell] told us that he had made a conscious decision NOT to read the intelligence.”
DesJarlais; Re: Maxwell’s supervior, Beth Jones-—where she said that it has been determined that there was no intelligence that could have told us that this attack was underway.
P: Her subsequent testimony to the committee indicated that she was not aware of the fact that her subordinate was not reading the intelligence
DesJarlais: But, in fact, there was evidence that he had NOT stopped reading all the intelligence.
P: He made a statement to us that led us to believe that he had stopped reading the intelligence.
Was that CUMMINGS who jumped in here? Camera didn’t move to who was speaking.
Mullen: It was a strong indicator of his [Maxwell’s] detatchment
P: Maxwell is one of the people who should take the heat for Benghazi
ISSA: People above him and below him knew of the previous attacks....So he is part of the culture of not caring enough, but people above him and below him, including Kennedy were acutely aware of the growing danger and risk actually occurring in Benghazi. That is a YES or NO!
P: They were not required to follow on a daily basis. He [Maxwell] had the dot. He made it clear he had the dot.
ISSA: ....But neither was your mandate to look at the question of a system under Kennedy that did NOT ALLOW ANYBODY TO PULL THE PANIC BUTTON, but rather it kept looking for one person who would decide not to have Benghazi open or to man it with resources they may not have had.

WTH???
Did Maxwell get a promotion yet? Subordinates know what info their bosses want to know about.
Plausible deniability - Hear no evil; see no evil; speak no evil was the code phrase re; Benghazi. Such info would have disturbed Hillary’s plans.
OK! Now at Lummis who wants to follow up on DesJarlais’ and Issa’s questioning...

I would like to "peer into the future" and see Engle be retired in the not so distant future.
That is another interesting line of questioning from today.
Nice American flag necktie on Mr Woods.
Sean Smith's mom: "I don't trust my government anymore.. They lie to me!"
