Aaron Alexis, the man identified by Washington D.C. police as a suspect in this mornings tragic attack on a US Navy Yard, was previously arrested by Seattle police in 2004 for shooting out the tires of another mans vehicle in what Alexis later described to detectives as an anger-fueled blackout.
Because Seattle police have received numerous inquiries about the incident, we are posting the details, detective logs, and the original report for the May 6, 2004 case.
At about 8 am that morning, two construction workers had parked their 1986 Honda Accord in the driveway of their worksite, next to a home where Alexis was staying in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.
The victims reported seeing a man, later identified by police as Alexis, walk out of the home next to their worksite, pull a gun from his waistband and fire three shots into the two rear tires of their Honda before he walked slowly back to his home north of the construction site.
Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate Alexis, and no one answered the door at his home.
When detectives interviewed workers and a manager at the construction site, they told police Alexis had stared at construction workers at the job site every day over the last month prior to the shooting. The owner of the construction business told police he believed Alexis was angry over the parking situation around the work site.
Following his arrest, Alexis told detectives he perceived he had been mocked by construction workers the morning of the incident and said they had disrespected him. Alexis also claimed he had an anger-fueled blackout, and could not remember firing his gun at the victims vehicle until an hour after the incident.

Oops. Thinking about the OTHER time he fired in anger.
How hard is that to figure out?
Actually Washington Courts lists more than that...

Okay, here’s more...
Buddhist extremist? What’s the chance of two of them?
MSM and the WhiteyHut are working like Whirling Dervishes to make sure the mooselimb truff don’t get out.
Best line from “A Fish Called Wanda” ...
‘The central theme of Bhuddism is not every man for himself’.
You have Jews that follow Buddhism and are called JewBoos.
Then you have Jews that follow Hinduism and are called HinJews.
Now you have a Muzzie that studied Buddhism which makes him a MuBu!
Of course depending on the transliteration and language, it could be Moslem and Fo Ti which would make him a Mo-Fo.
"Two MSM liberal sources I checked (Yahoo and CBS) prominently featured his pic - it's pretty obvious."
Obviously he was an Obama voter...
What he did have was a past that should have been a warning for those he dealt with. Two gun infractions, yet he evidently was still able to buy the shotgun he used. Sounds to me like he is the product of a justice system that is broken. All the gun laws in the world don't do you any good if you don't enforce them.
I had one of my sailors who married a psycho mexican girl. She was literally nuts. He called the police one night because she went wacko. In the end he pled guilty with her on a minor domestic to avoid having her go to jail. He finally divorced her after she put on her wedding dress one night and buried a knife in her own stomach.
My sailor jettisoned the psycho, but he was stuck with a Lautenberg problem and can't own a gun, meanwhile the Navy Yard shooter has two arrests involving reckless gun use and evidently was still able to purchase the shotgun.
At one time I think he was stationed at Fort Lewis, but I’ve got something even better on Muhammad and Malvo. The two of them were living in a homeless shelter up in Bellingham. Border Patrol picked up Malvo for illegal immigration and put him into the immigration court system. Not deported, went on to help Muhammed kill a bunch of people. I still think Muhammed would have done what he did without Malvo, but Malvo should have been deported. There should have been red flags over the two of them hanging out together anyway, not being related.
He didn’t join the military until 2008, I think....WHY did they let him join?? WHY was he given ANY kind of Clearance?? Because he’s BLACK??
I was just listening to a man who was formerly in charge of approving security clearances for the federal government in DC. He said that there are two main problem areas:
First, he said that contractor clearances are problematic because they give the clearance to the contracted business. It’s on that business more than the government to do an extensive background check on their employees. Many businesses obviously fail to do this.
Second, he said that the federal government encouraged him to be more lenient in passing people in DC on their security clearance. That’s because, as he put it, DC has a high percentage of high school dropouts and people with arrest records who would not pass a standard security clearance. So, as to lessen DC unemployment and not to appear discriminatory in their practices because most of the candidates who would not qualify are black, they give clearances to lesser qualified candidates. So, yes, the shooter being black likely did play a part in why he was given a clearance despite his arrest records.
Political correctness kills.
