Writers detail shocking civil war resulting from 'Tea Party militia' taking over South Carolina town - and the U.S. military's response
They prophesize that unrest will result from the the economy's failure to improve from 'Great Recession'
Commenters quick to fire back at the writers, as one brands Col Benson a 'traitor in waiting'
A duo of writers have ignited an uproar with their foretelling of an insurrection that will plunge America into a new civil war, courtesy of a 'Tea Party militia.'
Written in disturbing detail by a retired colonel and the academic, the article describes events leading up to a full-blown civil war on American soil, like the one that is currently gripping Syria.
The article also describes the plan of the American military to quash the rebellion orchestrated by its own citizens.
The Small Wars Journal article, entitled 'Full Spectrum Operations in the Homeland: A "Vision" of the Future,' was written by retired U.S. Army Col Kevin Benson and Jennifer Weber.
So when does such a civil war begin? According to Benson and Weber, the seeds of their vision have already been planted.
They write that the Great Recession will have lasted longer than anyone could know, sparking massive unemployment and political unrest.
Benson and Weber write that despite a change in control of the White House and Congress in 2012, the economys downward smile will continue, with the percentage of jobless Americans near double digits.
But the authors say it wont be until 2016 when things start to take a bad turn.
The write: 'In May 2016 an extremist militia motivated by the goals of the "tea party" movement takes over the government of Darlington, South Carolina, occupying City Hall, disbanding the city council, and placing the mayor under house arrest.'(continued)

ONOES, ONOES, ONOES ! ! !
Pig will fly!
The price of bacon will be sky high ! ! ! ! !
Of course they do. Look at the Russian revolution.
Seemed to work like a charm in Iraq and Afghanistan. And the opposition were one shot one kill sharpshooters, too. (sarcasm alert)
The Brits should read Lost in Zombieland: The Rise of Preident Zero if they want to see what a popular uprising against tyrannical American government might really look like.
I guess if youdont like government overspending, you are enemy of the state.
Why don’t they come out the closet and honestly require our children to become state paid slave suicide bombers like for Syria.
Uh huh. Right. Lets have a look at this.
Lon Horiuchi is still alive.
So are Ayers and Dohrn.
So are Jane Fonda and Ted Turner, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc.
When was the last time a Mosque was burned down in the US by arson? How many Muzzies have been attacked?
The Right Wing is so law-abiding, it is painful. We’re NEVER going attack anyone without a truly ugly provocation - uglier than Waco at the very least.
These guy are nothing but a couple of provacateurs attempting to drum up more hate against quiet, law abiding, God-fearing folk who are already under nearly unendurable pressure.
Welcome to the ranks of the Kulaks, folks. BLOAT.

Yep - was discussed at some length here at the time.
An M1 Abrams has 4 hours until it's fuel supply ruins out; battery power goes soon after. Then it's nothing but a big target. Drones also rely on that logistics tail that is very weak.
Full Spectrum article was written like two years ago IIRC. Daily Mail is late to the party.
It's "martial law." The reference is not to a lawman in some town in the Wild West.
Spot on analysis. A zombie apocalypse will spark a civil war. Only thing different than the movies, is that these zombies will be fast moving and primarily black. Lots of angry young men in the 'hoods. The Going Trayvon on non-blacks will only grow larger, and will explode when the necessary spark occurs. Economy, famine, political event, whatever, something will spark it.
Ummm.....yeah. You keep believing that.
Oh yeah, welcome to FR.
I’m still wondering how long before someone on the left actually says it “out loud” that “zombies” are a proxy, and then calls everyone preparing against zombies racists.
Btw, “zombie hordes” are the reason to have high cap mags.
And that is the reason leftists try to get them banned.
A disgusting, and prescient, novel.
And, up until recently, on the “unmentionable” list at FR.
Tea Partiers can barely get out of their electric scooters.
Well, sort of. Disgruntled suburbanite and exurbanite homeowners who want lower taxes aren't going to be taking up the gun anytime soon. Their interest in politics doesn't involve that kind of radical risk-taking.
Many of the angry young men today aren't conservatives. And given demographics and lack of outreach by conservatives, they never will be.
Never say never. If they do become conservatives, though, they won't be young anymore (or angry in that violent way that only young people can be).

the Next one will be to RESTORE THEM back again..
