Too bad more Russians don’t share your fondness for Putin. Nor do the Estonians, the Lithuanian, the Latvians, the Ukrainians, the Poles, the Georgians, and numerous other former Soviet Satellites. I can disdain the policies of Obama and of Putin. I’ve no need to swoon over either or to be defensive of either. I think you’re smitten with Putin, this man who once kept the prisons of his nation full of Christians (Have you ever read the Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn?) and others wanting freedom for his nation. Perhaps you think that’s a youthful indiscretion.

“A new shootout at Navy headquarters in Washington — a lone gunman and 7 corpses. Nobody’s even surprised anymore,” tweeted Alexey Pushkov, a member of the Russian parliamentary foreign affairs committee.

“A clear confirmation of American exceptionalism,” he added.

How much you want to bet that Putin and much of Russia would be supportive of the USA signing on to the U.N. treaty on arms regulation? He will have our best interests and the international communities best interest at heart, you know.

We should listen to the UN, yes indeed. The Sandy Hook and all these one person shoot-ups that don’t surprise us anymore— would stop. Yeah, yeah... that’s sweet old thoughtful Pooty for ya.

There is middle ground, one doesn’t have to support Putin to show their disdain for Obama. I can dislike and not trust both at the same time. I’m interested in the United States, our country and what is best for it. Trusting Obama or Putin isn’t.

Anyhow..that’s my opinion.
