On PBSs NewsHour on Friday night, New York Times columnist David Brooks warned that Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz and similar legislators rise to prominence threatens the traditional Republican Party. (Snip) Whats going on in the House, and a bit in the Senate, too, is what you might call the rise of Ted Cruz-ism, Brooks said. And Ted Cruz, the senator from Canada through Texas, is basically not a legislator in the normal sense, doesnt have an idea that hes going to Congress to create coalitions, make alliances, and he is going to pass a lot of legislation. Its touching the way the press worries over the fate of the GOP.
More reason to support Ted Cruz! 100%
Alliances in Congress, oh sure.
You mean the people are finally demanding that their views get represented, and that the politicians are there to serve, and they are not self-anointed aristocracy?
Horrors.
FUDB
These people seem to be scared silly by Ted Cruz.
That’s fine with me! I love the guy!
David Brooks makes it sound as if the rise of Ted Cruz is a bad thing . . . I don’t get. The rise of Ted Cruz is exactly what the people want; we are rallying behind him. Do you get it, Mr. Brooks?
After reading the article Cruz-ism sounds like a very good thing.
I LOVE that picture! Coolness!
Oh Mr. Brooks GETS it, all right, as do the rest of the liberal creeps. You betcha they’re scared of Cruz: as a Princeton man, he was recognized as the best debater in the Ivy League. No dummy, Mr. Brooks, eh?
David Brooks is a silly froot.
I’m sure that the rat leadership like Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Obama, Shumer, Durbin, Wasserman Shultz etc. all went to congress thinking that they were going there to create coalitions and alliances with the GOP. I’s a one way street. The Rats make demands and the GOP makes consessions. That’s what Brooks calls the traditional GOP.
The press is really trying to paint Cruz as their new Emmanuel Goldstein, aren’t they.
“Theyre not normal members of Congress. Theyre not legislators. They want to stop things.”
Enough flack to prove your over the target...
Go Ted!
Time to finally admit you are a liberal and join the Democrat party Mr. Brookes. You don’t get to hide with the RINOs any longer. They’ll be right behind you soon.
The last thing anyone in the press or the demoncrat party want’s to see is an HONEST MAN WITH CONVICTIONS AND CHARACTER.
If only.
Heaven forbid that someone from the real world actually arrives in the fantasy land called DC. A fantasy land so far in debt, it has mortgaged its future.
