Michele Bachmann, Louis Gohmert, and the dangers of foggy 9/11 memories [Read with Barf Bag]
Dallas Morning News ^ | 9/11/13 | Tod Robberson

Posted on 09/14/2013 10:16:15 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

...Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota joined fellow tea partying Reps. Louie Gohmert, sadly of Texas, and Steve King of Iowa on a trip to Egypt, where they praised the restoration of military dictatorship and the overthrow of a democratically elected government...

Bachmann didn’t just stop with that misportrayal of American values. She somehow managed to confuse Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood with the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks (Afghanistan-based al-Qaeda for those who don’t remember), and congratulated Egypt’s military leader for holding them at bay.

“We have seen the threat that the Muslim Brotherhood has posed around the world. We stand against this great evil,” Bachmann said. “We remember who caused 9/11. We remember who it was that killed 3,000 brave Americans.”

...Bachmann said the United States and Egypt “have that common enemy, the terrorists who have shown themselves so recently in the form of the Muslim Brotherhood. We don’t have a choice. They must be defeated.”

The "journalist" writer goes on to say:

Some al-Qaeda members had roots in the Muslim Brotherhood but left because they found it too moderate. Attaching the entire organization to the 9/11 attacks is like saying that Timothy McVeigh used to be a Republican, therefore the entire party is behind the Oklahoma City bombing.

Miss Robberson’s editorial is basically an massive attack on Michele Bachmann and a pathetic defense of the Muslim Brotherhood—how the Muslim Brotherhood is a defender of human rights and a group of caring, compassionate lovers of mankind.

Yep.

This is what passes for journalism at the Dallas Morning news.

No wonder newspapers are dying.

Yes there’s a danger that as you remember the murder of thousands of innocent Americans on 9-11, you might - as a result of your stupidity - blame the wrong people. Specifically, you might blame muslims.

Then the analogy should be perfect from the left’s perspective, because that’s exactly what they do-extrapolate Republican connections from any criminal who ever mouthed the word “Republican”. While conveniently ignoring, say, Swimmer Kennedy’s cowardly desertion of a drowning woman, Robert Byrd’s (the “conscience of the Senate”, according to them) high level position in the KKK, Clinton’s harassment and possible, maybe probable, rape of women, etc. I suppose that it works well for them not livng up to any standards, by not claiming to have any.

Libtards have such a penchant for non sequiturs and leaps of illogic. And yes - they like to toss off the "McVeigh was a Republican" - or Christian - all the time. Silly whack~a~dos.

All one need do is Google Image Tod Robberson and see that he’s a misplace homo in a TEXAS world.

There is no there there and certainly nothing to get conservative hackles upset about.

An over-middle aged gay poofter (by his looks) with nothing to contribute to worthwhile society...[and, I don’t care if he is married to a woman, has a girlfriend or whatever; that guy is queer]

This pinhead would not know the commonality of Hassa al Banna, Ayman al Zawahiri or Osama bin Laden if it hit him in his smarmy face.

Oh My Goodness, Reading that lowed my IQ by 10 Points.

If you had any doubts on who was/wasn't on the right side on the Syrian Issue, this settles it.

Louis Gohmer and Michele Bachmann should walk with their heads held higher today because this Crazed Leftist will be wondering What the Hell Happens when the Brotherhood comes to collect the Jizya Tax from her(I mean Libs are all for Taxes Right?)

Go Louis! Go Michele!!!

Al-Qaeda was a triad of the Mujahidin, Muslim Brotherhood and followers of Ben Laden. Second in command was Al-Wazahiri, a Muslim Brotherhood honcho who was behind the assassination of Sadat. The reason the Muslim Brotherhood was forbidden to participate in Egyption politics was because of their role in Sadat’s assassination.
Read this after the Afghan Northern Alliance leader was blown up and why it was important to have him out of the way.

After watching an TV special about 9/11 on an ABC affiliate, one of my quilting guild members came in outraged and pissed off at GWB. She told us the show pointed out the fact that GWB knew the planes were coming in five minutes before they hit, but he refused to scramble fighters to thwart them.

Everyone told her that wasn’t true; that he had been in an elementary school classroom when the strikes occurred. He learned of the hits when Andy Card told him in the classroom. Still, she clung to the lie she (believed) she had heard.

Did anyone else see anything like this? I’m hoping she heard incorrectly. Would any organization try to spread this kind of revisionist stuff when the video clip of Card and Bush was one of the most watched of any clips?
