To: 3Fingas
Half of my neighbors are recent transplants from California. I know that many Texans worry about that, but here they are all good conservatives.

When we first moved to Texas, at least six of our new neighbors rang the doorbell to welcome us to the neighborhood. Having just arrived from California (where such behavior is rare), my wife and I were sort of stunned. We had no idea we'd run into that sort of overt hospitality.

Some time later, it dawned on me that the patriotic stickers on my truck might have had something to do with it.

Yes, there are a ton of conservative refugees moving here.

I am originally from NY. However, my family moved around a lot living all over the US, especially the South, even in Texas for a time. When I got out of the military, I decided to remain in Texas, one of the best decisions that I ever made.
