Contrary to claims from its editorial pages editor, a Wall Street Journal editor knew of Elizabeth OBagys connections to the Islamist Syrian Emergency Task Force and took at least three days to publish a clarification.
We were not aware of Elizabeth OBagys academic claims or credential when we published her Aug. 31 op-ed, and the op-ed made no reference to them, editorial pages editor Paul Gigot told Politico in a statement on September 11.
We also were not aware of her affiliation with the Syrian Emergency Task Force, and we published a clarification when we learned of it, Gigot wrote. We are investigating the contents of her op-ed to the best of our ability, but to date we have seen no evidence to suggest any information in the piece was false.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I was just talking to some conservative expats here in Beijing. Some of them are Brits and they thought the Wall Street Journal was Left of the Guardian so they refused to read it. I told them it was owned by Rupert Murdoch and they thought I was joking. Just goes to show you that conservative expats in China, including myself, consider the WSJ a lame newspaper. The Financial Times is a better newspaper for global business news anyway.
Wasn’t The Bag a Foxnews contributor too?
I wouldn’t be surprised if she was. One time a company assigned me to do some research on George Soros and I was asked if there were any links between Murdoch and Soros. I came to the conclusion that despited their alleged political differences, they might have a power partnership. Soros gets power when the Democrat Party rules and Murdoch gets power when GOPers get the White House. I called it a straddling the levers of power scheme. No matter who gets elected one or the other can still rule the roost.
I saw this lady on Cavuto and the way she dismissed al queda elements among the Syrian rebels had me on alert.
After the Egyptian debacle I am disgusted politicians for intervening aren’t more cautious.
The WSJ is a Neo-Con rag.
So our choice is between Auric Goldfinger and Emilio Largo?
Good call! Forgot that one! :)
WHAT the HELL does a 26 year old girl know about the Middle East??? That was what sent my radar off.....who would put their faith in what a 26 year old girl said on this subject....FOOLS WOULD, that’s who. McCain and Kerry are pathetic.
Last night however on Brett Baer's special report I heard them do three segments all on stuff I have personally warned everyone has been ignored in favor of Syrian news. FNC did one segment on Fast and Furious another on the irs debacle and a third on Benghazi. NO other media with big numbers is doing this. I for one will blast them when necessary but also applaud them when they do the right thing. Last night,IMHO, they did the right thing.
They’re Jewish?
And they get the best viewer numbers of all of them....and the alphabets’ newsies too, I bet.
So when they put on this stuff the others don’t, lots of folks see it.
She’s a puppet, IMHO.
OBagy worked for ISW, founded by Kimberly Kagan.
Kagans brother is McCain adviser, Robert Kagan.
Who is Robert married to? Victoria Nuland, former spokesperson for the United States Department of State. (She was nominated to serve as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs in May 2013.)

Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham were vocal critics of the administrations messaging after the Benghazi attacks, but on Friday, they issued a laudatory statement about Victoria Nuland
Exactly,I have no problem with blasting FNC when they deserve it. But, when they do good stuff My take is to commend them for it.Praise/complaints should work both ways, IMHO.
OMG!!! Robert Kagan is married to that odious LIAR, Victoria Nuland???? I had NO idea!!!And the Senate just OK
d her for a PROMOTION!!!!
And as Fox is the ONLY one to broadcast anything other than the “party line”, I grit my teeth through the sometimes questionable stuff.
Ought to be interesting when Meghan Kelly gets her show...
