Thursday, Tennessee Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey is standing by his September 11th tweet that has drawn criticism from other lawmakers, including Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Roy Herron.
Here is what Ramsey tweeted on September 11th: "As the president attempts to ally with Al-Qaeda in Syria's civil war, we must always remember who attacked us on our soil 12 years ago."
This is what Ramsey said Thursday about that controversial tweet: "Every September 11 since that tragic Tuesday in 2001 has been a day of remembrance. We remember those who died, those who served and those who carry on. But we must also remember those who attacked us and why. The Syrian rebels connections to Al-Qaeda are well-established and well-known. I am proud to stand with leaders like Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Rand Paul against coming to the aid of our enemies, enemies who continue to hate our country from afar as they kill Christians in their own country."

He must not waiver.
If he equivocates just a tiny bit, the sharks will smell blood in the water and he will be undone by BOTH sides.

Republican in Nashville refusing to back down. While it is refreshing to see, I suspect the NSA is working on that.

It will be a win for him if he sticks to his guns.
It is when spineless ‘Pubbies start apologizing that they get gutted; Democrats and the Media - they can smell fear and wishy-washyness.

Watch for Knoxnews.com to do an Editorial against the comments. I hear the on-line site has turned into a Democratic Party echo chamber recently LOL. Who's going to pay to listen to liberal biased news and propaganda? Not Me!

Knox News Sentinel just took their UT football news to a pay portal. Be interesting to see how THAT plays out. The university itself has really ramped up its own media package available to fans and most “sports journalism” is simply opinion pieces.

... most sports journalism is simply opinion pieces. The sports loudmouth know-it-alls have just moved from the neighborhood bar into the "newsroom". In the case of ESPN, we are stuck with Connecticut know-it-alls who know little and care less about "fly-over-country".
(apologies to all you decent people in CT.)
