We're talking slingshots, catapults, and rockets made in garages.

I was really impressed that they were able to build those improvised manpads marked “Property of U.S. Government”.
I like the pic where everyone is smoking while they are loading a makeshift mortar....
Allah don’t need to sort them out, Natural selection will do quite nicely...
It appears that they have captured many of Assad`s manpads and anti-tank missiles from overrun military installations.
All the weapons aren’t improvised. Many have been smuggled in from Libya and Egypt and the CIA is now supplying them withe small arms.
I am still opposed to sending them weapons.
I’m opposed too - but I’m impressed with their ‘shop skills’
And they have turned Syria into such a garden spot.
I hate crappy, deceptive journalism like that. A year ago every major news source was printing articles about us training rebels on bases in Jordan. Two years ago there were a hundred articles about Syrians receiving shipments of high quality weapons with the serial numbers etched off from Western governments.
Later
Ahhhh,
What’s a poor Syrian Rebel Al Queda Terrorist to do????
I feel so sorry for them, they are so picked on. NOT!
Yep, interesting. Let us not forget, they are all animals and neither side has any love for us.
As kids we used to do this with water balloons using surgical tubing and a funnel.
Two people would act as anchors standing a few feet apart and holding the tubing ends above their heads, third guy would pull the funnel back and launch the balloon.
We could launch our ordnance from the backyard, over the house, over the street, over the next house and into a backyard a block away.
Hilarity ensued once when anchor guy #1 let a full extension slip though his hands which popped the guy holding the funnel(me)causing a premature release which smacked the other anchor guy in the back of his head with the funnel.
Excellent photos...but are they fighting Assad’s forces or attacking Christians/Kurds/alewites?
So the balloon held up during acceleration? Sounds like a great activity to do with the grandkids (mama’s not gonna like it, but should create so great memories - I love this kind of stuff)
Sure did. We used those made for water and filled them to about the size of a tennis ball.
A set up like the jihadis have would be great. Using humans for the anchors has it’s danger if one accidentally lets go of the tubing while it’s cocked and loaded.
I still laugh about it whenever I think of the other kid getting popped in the head by the funnel.
