National Day Of Service And Remembrance
Lorton, VA - September 11, 2013
In memorial for September 11, visit Mason Neck State Park in remembrance and help us with a shoreline clean up. Help by volunteering to pick up garbage along the trails and beach to help make the park a more beautiful place. 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Visitor Center.
I wish we could take out the trash.
A better way to observe a 9/11 Day of Remembrance would be to collect all the Muslim Trash and deposit them on a tramp steamer headed to their true homeland.
We need to get rid of the garbage sitting in the WH.
9/11 Day of Service - Personal Branding Workshop Volunteer
Volunteer Position Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a professional background and/or a background in career services to help facilitiate a Personal Branding Workshop. Volunteers will assist in a mock interview "speed dating" activity as well as personal branding workshop, in which clients learn more about how to best present themselves in a job interview.
Program Description:
As part of the 9/11 Day of Service, Met Council will be hosting a special career readiness workshop on the topic of Personal Branding. Being able to brand and/or market one's self effectively is a vital tool used to establish valuable professional connections, and this is often used in a person's "elevator speech". This introduction speech is the point where a person has a couple of minutes maximum to make a positive impression on a person they are meeting for the first time.
In addition to an opening workshop and presentation on how to effectively market one's self given to all attendees, they will have the opportunity to simulate this scenario effectively through "speed networking" workshop with our professional volunteers. Each attendee will sit down one-on-one for just a couple minutes, and in this time will be able to practice marketing themselves during their elevator speech, before moving on to the another volunteer. The goal will for attendees to leave this workshop more confident in introducing themselves to potential professional connections, and be able to expand their networks more effectively.

This is all to downplay the true meaning of the day f remembrance. Why don’t they make MLK day a day of service too?
He will not distract me from the overwhelming knowledge that our Pres..ent, his VP and his Sec of State have blood on their hands. And a year later, NOT ONE of them has been held accountable! Nor have the terrorists who actually murdered the 4 patriots. I couldn’t sleep last night.......remembering those who were murdered on 9/11/01. And now we have to suffer this fool for 3 1/2 more years. God help us.

I’m suprised Ostumbles didn’t declare 9/11 a day of service for Benghazi also.
Well, I have to show up at my office and put in a 10-12 br work day. No trash gathering for me. Sorry, Obama I refuse to remember this day picking up trash. And after lasts years horror in Libya due directly to you and your minions, I resolve to keep my thoughts on the heros to be remembered on this day. I will never forget. I only wish I could be in DC today to participate in the 2M bikers ride. That makes me smile. Now, I have to do that great American thing and go to work. LET’S ROLL.
