Small business owners who thought they were off the hook for ObamaCare regulations until 2015 may be in for an expensive wake-up call next month.
Beginning Oct. 1, any business with at least one employee and $500,000 in annual revenue must notify all employees by letter about the Affordable Care Acts health-care exchanges, or face up to a $100-per-day fine. The requirement applies to any business regulated under the Fair Labor Standards Act, regardless of size. Going forward, letters are to be distributed to any new hires within 14 days of their starting date, according to the Department of Labor.

Mark for later.
Just give every employee the 10,000+ page manual, and tell them to “Direct your questions to the White House: (202) 456-1414.”
It’s a letter. No big deal.
“...$500,000 in annual revenue...”

Does anyone know how this is defined?
Is it gross sales, profit, or what?
Boehner may kill the Republican party by funding obamacare.
Revenue, meaning total gross income.
I bet it is gross because for Obamacare to figure out if you get a subsidy they go buy gross salary. How will they know if the business sent out a letter or not?
Writing that letter could be a lot of fun.
Dear employee,
The Federal government is forcing me to write you this letter, under the penalty of $100 per day to tell you that the Federal government will force you to buy over-priced health insurance in a so-called healthcare exchange unless your employer drastically cuts your salary and buys it for you.
And you still think you live in a free country?
Then he would be sealing his fate as well.
You don’t mind me using that for my boilerplate letter do you:-)
Not at all.
If I owned a business, I’d go completely under the table.
Stamp Act 2013-1765 Extortion: Tax without consent to those discriminated aginst as Non-Exempt.
Civil Rights Act violation.
Does spelling count? Could be trouble...
Agreed...just a letter.
Boner is a dope.
