Deepen that continual prayer with Fasting. Even if you haven’t been in the habit of following the Apostolic Constitutions’ pattern of fasting every Wednesday (in remembrance of Judas’ treachery) and every Friday (in memory of the Passion of Our Lord)—START! It doesn’t need to be as strict a fast as a Lenten fast, but do something.

And then give the cost of the food you otherwise would have eaten to an appropriate refugee/relief agency.
